Newbie dealing with festive week

Not sure what to do...
Tricky week coming up, same for a lot of people I guess.

- one pre-set restaurant meal with uber synful food, most of which I don't really want anyway. Syns would be at least 70!

- night away in a hotel = eating out. At least I can make better choices than the above meal although there will be a lot of temptation

- and then, obviously Xmas day. I'm cooking this so I have control over how stuff is cooked.

thing is I really don't want to eat the uber synful stuff even though I do want to go bc I enjoy the company.

What would be the best way to tackle the week?

I agree with the post above. It's a really difficult time of year for dieting, so all we can do is make the best choices that we can.
The next most important thing to do is make sure you stick with the plan and as much SFF at other times,
Good luck with your plan and have a great time celebrating:thumbup:

I recommend keeping a SW food diary, even if you go over your Syns it will psychologically help you remember that you are still trying your best to stay on the SW plan and not to just have a complete blow out for the entire week of Christmas (which is what I did last year and put on 7lbs as I just didn't bother at all!)

We all over Syn at Christmas so please don't worry too much, just enjoy your Christmas and get back on plan as soon as you can :)

This Christmas I'm not drinking alcohol (as that's my downfall!) and trying to stick with it as best I can.

Good luck! x

If you don't want the food then don't eat it. Eat some of it, leave the rest. Despite what we were all told when we were five years old, you are not required to clear your plate!!

Thanks everyone.
i phoned the restaurant and changed my choice to salmon.
im so glad I did as the Turkey Xmas meal came drowned in gravy and I hate food soaking in gravy...not to mention the syns.
dessert wasn't to my taste so I didn't eat it.
