5K challenge

I totally agree- Couch to 5 km really works!
I HONESTLY couldn't even run to the end of the street & complete a 10km in November

I have let it slip since christmas so am trying to build up again to 5km, nearly there

It is hard to get motivated in the cold but the podcasts really work and keep you going, I couldn't believe it that by week 5 i ran 20mins without stopping. it also helps you not to go too far too soon. something i did after i completed it and thought i could go from running 5km to 9 just like that....and ended up injured.

Living in Northern Ireland I had the same problem with the NHS app but downloaded a similar one from googleplay which works without any problems - hope that helps and in relation to your question muscle is heavier than fat so could be the reason for the gain :)
