    Overseas and following Slimming World

Being overseas myself (in Canada) and following the Slimming World plan, I know just how difficult it can be to source Slimming World friendly foods, especially when many of the stuff on the Slimming World website is at the moment aimed at the UK. Although I am informed by the powers that be that it will be much more improved in the future.

So I thought it would be a great idea to have a sticky thread, where all us overseas girls or guys can support each other and list our finds.

With great difficulty lol, some of it was through trial and error buying things and checking them out on the online syn calculator.

I did try emailing slimming world themselves several times about making the Texas group information available to online members but never had any success. I also asked about the possibilty of some books like they get in the UK, but apparently they have no plans to make any .

So eventually I managed to get hold of a Texas Group member on here and eventually got hold of one of the main Consultants in Texas who kindly emailed me with some information of free branded foods and told me about the facebook USA group.

That is the problems I have come across living here, it must be even worse for people in Europe and Australia/New Zealand etc.

Weight watchers has information relevant to many countries, and Slimming World need to get up to date to be successful worldwide. I love Slimming World which is what can be frustrating at times.

I don't think they are 3 syns I am afraid. They are 100 calories each, which works out as a 5 syns.

The fudge popsicle ones are 50 calories which means they are 2.5 syns

as long as you didnt select any free food allowance because of course they dont qualify for one and input the correct weight and nutritional information for the ice cream, then the syns calculator should be correct.

It is very unusual for something of 100 calories with no free food allowance to come out as 3 syns. It is usually 5 syns of there about.

But if they are 3 syns then that is good.
