Determination is Key
There was some confusion about these sausages but my C made a phone call to the manufacturers, who are a butcher, and his wife - a slimming world consultant... and it's been confirmed...

Slender Choice Sausages.. syn free. And delish!

Mallon sausages are free! They are less than 3% fat. They are in a blue packet and I got them in Supervalu

I'm not a lover of the mallon's or slender choice sausage's.I tried the Linda McCartney vegetarian sausage's they were not bad at all. They are 1 syn each. Also quorn are doing sausage's that are 1 syn each as well. They are in the chilled section in tesco's.Quorn are also doing frozen sausage's that are syn free.I yet to come accross these. They seem to only have them available in the UK.

Yeah I've using the quorn sausages on a green day, they're tasty but not really the consistency of "sausage", more like pudding iykwim:) Wouldn't mind but I'm not a big sausage eater normally but hate to spend many syns on them :D

Hi, I'm new to this group. Personally I wouldn't like the slender choice sausages but if you boil them for about 15/20 minutes then fry them with frylite they are actually quite nice. I actually ate all 12 the other day (I know total glutton) and had my slimming world fry and got up on the scales the next day and had lost 5.5Ibs

Our consultant gave us that tip and it does make a difference

Oh I've never tried boiling them first, I prefer the Slender Choice to the Mallons & after months of pestering the manager in the local tesco's they finally got them in stock, so I grabbed two packs & had a lovely Syn-free fryup for brekkie :D

I have done the slender choice both ways and I have to say boiling them first was a great idea, you really feel your having a cooked through sausage, only problem though you have to fry them with the frylight and it leaves the pan very black but well worth it

I wouldn't mind but I'm not normally a BIG sausage eater but I hate not to be ale to have something & I hate to spend loads of syns on them.

I agree Izzy but when you think about it, it is a syn free sausage

Can't believe these are free! I love these sausages. I wasted 4.5 syns on 3 denny reduced fat ones at the weekend :(

Hi all, I'm back and raring to go. I absolutely adore the mallon sausages, I ate all six one day and I would have ate more if I had them. Can I give you a tip, I had mine in the freezer so I had to defrost them and I reckon that made the difference as they were slightly cooked and then I fried them with the frylite and they were just gorgeous.

I got the tefal actifryer last Saturday so I think I may be due a cooking day with sw chips, mallon sausages and beans yum yum

I can't believe mallons sausages are free I went out and bought the Linda mc cartney ones lol they're actually quite nice but I grew up with mallons so delighted now!! ?

Fudgie2012, just make sure they are the blue packet, the ordinary mallons are not free, it is the gluten free ones and all three flavours are free, original, garlic and herb and leek and potato

Would you believe I didn't even know they had those flavours! Must have a look for them at weekend thanks a mill!

They are in tesco Fudgie, I got them reduced yesterday but they were going off on the 12th May so I froze them the minute I got home, they looked fine

Thanks a mill Orla must have a wee trip in and stock up! Dying to try the Scotch eggs lol never had them before!

Your welcome, just to let you know they are not the same as the ordinary sausages but when they are free I usually eat the whole packet of six totally guilt free
