Hi, I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant and have been attending slimming world since 7 weeks I've lost 8.5lbs in total and now although I'm being 100% on plan I'm either sts or gaining! Does anyone know if this is just down to the baby growing rapidly in the last few months? I'm starting to get a bit demotivated now :(

Xx

You've done amazingly to have lost throughout your pregnancy, I have been loosely following sw from about the same time as you, I've still gained 2st 3lb! I'm 32 weeks also! I was hoping not to gain more than two stone & have been really trying to slow the weight gain down but am the same, doesn't matter how good I am at the moment, I'm still gaining!

I gained 2lb this week I'm quite gutted about that but I'm starting to get it into my head that its going to happen x just hoping I don't undo all my hard work and can at least gain no more than my original start weight :) congrats on the pregnancy how's things going for you? What's your due date and do you know what you are having? X

Don't worry you don't have long enough left to gain too much!
I'm doing ok thanks, 7 weeks to go, booked in for csection 17th sept. we're having another little girl. :)

Ahh that was my due date before it changed at my first scan :) I'm due on 22nd September with my first :/ were having a little girl too :) x

Aww I'd love a big family but hubby's not too keen lol. I'd like one of each eventually though at least x how you coping with the weather and everything? I'd love for this little one to come on the 17th :) x

Yes we love having a big family although its crazy at times & they drive me mad! It's lovely having one of each, they bicker a lot but are also very close. not sure how they will react to another baby?
Hot weather doesn't normally bother me at all but I have really struggled the last month, especially at work! I've not been too bad at home with the heat apart from trying to sleep!! I've got three weeks left at work then I can chill!
Are you working? x

Ahh that's lovely x I'm sure they will love another baby sister :) x no I gave up work a few weeks ago I was coping fine but really starting to hate it x I also had 4 weeks holiday to take x and we have plenty of decorating to do due to a recent house move :) so I'm glad I gave up work before the hot weather kicked in x

Hey ladies.. Just popping over to say hi 2012Bridetobe.. Thanks for popping in to my thread yesterday..
You girls are such an inspiration.. Am 12 weeks today and following slimming world too.. Altho not to a T the last couple of weeks while still being good.. I'm down 3lb (I think) now since finding out I was PG and hoping to keep any gain to a minimum.. After tonnes of research I've found that an over weight person (I've still a stone to go before falling into my "healthy weight" category) the recomended gain is no more than 25lb.. I really don't want to gain back that much.. Took me over 2 years to lose just over that!!! You girls have given me hope and knowledge that pregnancy doesn't have to mean weight gain.. Of any sort never mind that much!!!
Have my first appointment at the hospital next Tuesday so will talk to the consultant then about my weight and see what he/she says as regards my weight and losing during pregnancy.. altho following Slimming World just means eating properly so it can't do any harm... And you girls are having healthy pregnancies so it can't be bad :D

Good morning :) the main reason I am so determined is since meeting hubby just over 7 years ago the weight crept on and I've been struggling with it ever since! The idea of getting pregnant and gaining 2-3 stone absolutely terrified me!! Don't get me wrong I still treat myself (prob more than I should) but I try and stick to plan 50-80% of the week :) but overall eating healthy and plenty of fruit and veg is healthy for the baby and is better for your body for breastfeeding x also I struggle with my weight and I don't want our daughter to go through that so I'm teaching her about healthy food from the start :) ahh 12 weeks pregnant :) I only have 4 more midwife visits :D eeeek xx

Yea I'm the same... I've struggled with my weight for years n like you want to pass on the good eating habits from the get go..
Are you planning on breast feeding?? I'm gona try it n see how I go... I want to give baby the best I can and if breast is best then i'll do my best.. I've had a talk with myself tho and I'm not gona put too much pressure on myself.. I know some women find it really hard and it comes natuarally to others.. I'll try.. N that's all I can do..
I was at my heaviest when I got back with my BF (we were together for a couple of years when I was 18, broke up for 7 years n got back together almost 4 years ago) and have since lost just over 2 stone.. Saying that... I prob feel more self concious now than I did back then!!! Strange how the mind works.. But am determined to be as healthy as I can be so when baby can be brought to the park I can run around with him/her n slide down the slides n not have to stand back and watch Daddy have all the fun...

I want to breast feed but I also want hubby to be able to feed her and bond with her too .. But I've read in several places u should wait to express milk for about 6 weeks so baby can get used to being breastfed x all this information is so much to take in and my midwife is pretty useless! I haven't been weighed since my first appt over 25weeks ago!! And she's only measured my bump once so not sure how her growing process is going x she's healthy though and very active x having this baby has definitely changed my thought on food x I'm determined to be at target for Christmas :) x how u finding pregnancy xx

Oh really?? Not read up much about breast feeding yet TBH.. I've not let myself get too "into it" if you know what I mean.. Was scared something would go wrong up to now that I've kinda taken a step back.. Am being careful n not drinking alcohol or caffeine etc but I've not allowed myself get looking at prams or cots or anything baby yet.. I wanted to reach the 12 week milestone before getting into the mindset of "OMG I'm gona be a mammy" Now i'm here i'm waiting until I've had my appointment til I get into it... I know to some its silly and I am a glass half full kinda person.. But its just so risky..

Pregnancy so far for me as been fine.. Not much sickness at all.. Had about 2 weeks where I was sick once a day n grand then for the rest of the time.. Had quite bad nausea for about a week.. But the last couple of weeks I've been grand.. Feeling normal n not pregnant.. Which had kinda freaked me out coz you hear so many ppl saying "Oh morning sickness is a sure sign of a healthy baby" So what's no sickness at all a sign of???? But the VHI midwive rang on her routine call on Sunday and we chatted n she advised its just as normal to not have morning sickness as to have it bad... Just you don't hear ppl talking about not having it as much coz hey.. We only spout when we're giving out.. LOL.. She made allot of sense altho she was only speaking common sense.. But hearing it from a professional made all the difference...

Were you sick much thru your PG? x

No I had really bad nausea from about 7-14 weeks but never really actually sick and it was never bad in the mornings only ever when I was about to sit down for our evening meal :/ I know how u feel about the 'not feeling pregnant' weeks 14-18 I felt fine no sickness the tiredness went no bump and obviously no baby movement x such a strange feeling but I started feeling baby at 18 weeks and at my 20 week scan we were told she's got long Legs ( just like daddy) that's why I felt her so much. Now I feel like I am growing loads everyday she's a proper wriggle bum and it's uncomfortable at night she constantly sits under my ribs which causes me not to breathe too great x she presses so hard against my kidneys it's painful x so I'm deffo feeling pregnant again :) I know how you feel about being careful x I didn't drink caffeine or alcohol I drink a couple of teas or cokes a day now but not alcohol x still avoid the no no foods though x even though sometimes I really crave them lol xxx

That's exactly the same as my nausea.. Kicked in really bad come dinner time.. So it meant I wasn't having dinner.. Or if I did it was only a couple of mouthfuls.. That passed then n I was sick once every morning n that was it.. So earlier that happened the better.. lol
But for the last couple of weeks I've been fine.. Breast tenderness has eased off almost completely.. Tiredness has mostly gone.. Nausea and sickness gone.. So nothing...

I hadn't planned on going to no caffeine completely, my initial plan was to cut out coffee only and continue with tea.. As its obviously a lower caffeine count n I wouldn't have it much.. But I had about 6 mugs of coffee per day in work before.. Tho I'd cut it back n almost before getting my BFP as we'd been trying for so long as I'd started on Clomid so was taking all precautions n steps to help it happen.. But shortly after getting my BFP I went off tea..
Then was getting really bad headaches n had been told a can of full fat coke shud sort it out so I have that every now n then if I've a bad headache.. So I do take caffeine, but not allot.. No alcohol since New Year really. Had 2 weekends away n a night out where I had alcohol but not much so not missing that.. N shell fish etc doesn't appeal to me even when not PG so am good with not having that.. :)

I only ever used to drink tea coffee and coke because it's free at work :/ but I started taking my own squash in with me instead x I drink coke every now and then but no where near as much x I have a coffee sometimes and tea makes me feel sick somedays and other days I really fancy it x I didn't like shell fish before either x but I do miss things like pâté and pink meat x but for me it's totally worth missing out on it and mums offered to cook me my fave food I have missed after I give birth :) x not looking forward to weigh in tonight but I am looking forward to hubby ordering me pizza :) xx

Hi hun...subscribing! :)

This is all very motivating and inspiring! :) I would like a pregnancy like yours please ;):D

I'm 12 wks tomorrow and currently 2lbs down from my BFP weight - I'm part surprised because all my body has wanted is carby/salty things like crackers, rice cakes, crisps, but that said I haven't been eating properly. From 6 weeks up until now I haven't really had proper meals, just picking throughout the day. My aim was to do SW all the way through but the nausea/food aversions meant I didn't want 90% of foods, and I couldn't step foot in my kitchen without heaving, let alone cook!

Finally this week my appetite is getting better, and I've managed to begin cooking again and eat proper foods (fruit, veg, meat) and I really want to take control and eat the best I possibly can for baby. :) So back on SW as of today and making sure I'm planning my meals and being as thorough as possible. :)

I hope you have a lovely remaining 6-7 weeks and all goes well! I'll be checking back to keep updated :) xxx

Pink meat like rare steak and I like lamb pink too :)

My first 12 weeks I craved savoury and salty food x I coulda easily ate my way through a whole multi pack x and McDonald's I think it was deffo because of the salt! Because I haven't been fussed for a good few months x I haven't had many takeaways at all x I usually get one every Tuesday after weigh in but I haven't had one for at least a month today will be my first x and that's only cos hubby's treating me :) x
Ill definitely keep you ladies updated :) xx
