Ok have bought the scan bran. Now I just need the nutella. Will get some tomorrow and have them this week. Will be interesting to see if the scan bran really are a 'speed' food and speed up my weight loss (hope the nutella doesn't hinder it!).

The hardest part is only sticking to the amount of nutella that you need and not licking the spoon!!! Had my Daughter do that so I wasnt tempted!! Lol.

THESE ARE YUMMMMMMY!!!!!!!!! And one of the easiest things to make! I did the scan bran in the food processor and broke it down as small as possible. I used 3 tbsp nutella and 3 tbsp golden syrup which I then put in a little dish and microwaved for about 20 secs to make it easier to mix.

Next time I'll probably try just 1 or 2 tbsp golden syrup as I personally don't think it needs 3. I'm going to try Ryvita as well and see how that turns out.

Only problem is I want to eat them all but don't want to use up 18 syns!! I worked out that mine are 1.3 syns each if I don't count scan bran as HEX B. Think it'll be hard to count it as HEX as I'd then have to eat the whole lot and go way over my syns!

Does just using 2tbsp nutella disguise the scan bran taste enough? I fancy doing it this way so I can use them as a HEX B but not spend 18 syns!

I used the reciepe from Annie and have to say that they were delicious. You could'nt taste the scan bran but you got the texture through. I have never used golden syrup in them as I am not sure it needs it. xx

Thanks! Will definitely try w/out golden syrup next time. I think it made it too 'soft' as well and I like more of a crunch so that might help.

Screw it - am going to make some more today!

If you still want to use the golden syrup, I out mine in the freezer for a while to sort out the "soft" texture and it gave them more of a bite...took longer to eat as well.

Do people prefer these made with scan bran, ryvita or weetabix?

I prefer the weetabix to the ryvita, never tried the scan bran. Nice with some orange or peppermint essence added for a change too.
Trying hard not to fail, but if I do it's not the end of the world as long as I pick myself up and get back on track.

I made mine with 2 weetabix and 3 tbsp of nutella. I managed to stretch it to 18 which means 1 Syn each without the need to use up a HEX. I didn't use any water though as I thought they might go mushy!!!

They were nice and are now all gone as H2B helped me finish them off last night!!

i made some and had to ban myself from eating them, now i have to make em for the missus grrrrrrr.
trouble with this type of food is the obvious moreish syndrome, so making these and tempted to eat just one or two just doesnt do it for me, what we need is a substitute for the nutella and syrup thats low in syns, any ideas anyone lol
