Does anyone know a syn free or low syn version of parsley sauce. I love fish but I also love my parsley sauce and I find it hard to have plain fish without it!! :sigh:

I make a low syn one out of the saucy secrets book - I will post it later on for you, I can't remember the exact recipe off the top of my head sorry!

Hi Julie 19,
I must actually purchase the saucy secrets book as I love my sauces, when I get around to it.
If you could post that would be great!!!!

Here is the recipe:
1.5 syns on all plans per serving, serves 4

2 level tsp cornflour
1/4 pint skimmed milk
1/4 pint vegetable stock
4oz/113g VLF fromage frais
4 tbsp chopped fresh Parsley
Salt & pepper

Blend the cornflour with a little of the milk. Place in a pan with the remaining milk, add the vegetable stock and bring to the boil stirring all the time. Reduce the heat & simmer, stirring continuously, until thick. Add the fromage frais & chopped parsley (make sure it does not boil or it will curdle). Season to taste & serve

Hi

I know its not quite what you were asking but i have made a fish pie ( while ago now) with those frozen fish fillets that come in a parsley or butter sauce ( about 2 since each) I cook them break them up a bit and add some prawns and haddock and top with mash, relatively low sin dinner?
