Just back from shop for this week and I spent 30.20

    Meat
    Sliced ham
    Sliced Chicken
    Bacon
    Extra lean mince

    Dairy
    18 Free range eggs
    6 Mullers
    Light babybels
    2 packets of cheese slices

    Tins packets and jars

    5 Mugshots
2 sauce mixes (think about 4 syns minus milk)
    2 tins carrots

    Fruit and veg
    Pears
    2 bags apples
    Grapes
    Plums
    Salad bowl
    Potatoes for baking mash etc

    Bread
    2 loaves wholemeal Hovis
    1 packet wholemeal tortillas

This was a light shop for husbands lunches and top up items for fridge. Husbands lunches will be ham sandwich, muller and a mugshot, piece of fruit. So it's on plan for him too

Left over cold meat for quick omelettes with cheese slices or babybels so I don't have to weigh anything out. Will always use bacon and eggs are handy to have in. Still have rice and veggies in freezer and loads of pasta in the cupboard.

Mince is for chilli con carne this week.

I was thinking this too last night when I did my asda order. It seems as though you only get the basic things you need for about a minimum of 60ish and I'm getting really fed up with them!
Its such a shame Morrisons dont have a delivery service as we dont have a car

Would love to see an example of your shop as there are 5 of us and I shop frequently at Tesco but spend between 100 and 150 a week

I usually come away with just the basics & a few bits of meat for our meals like minced beef (extra lean of course)

Actually thinking about it, I stopped off at sainburys last week for turkey mince, the lean stuff was 1.50 a pack and the extra lean was 4. 4 blooming pound for the extra lean bit. I felt like saying to the woman stacking the shelves "didnt you know dick Turpin wore a mask" but I'd have probably been carted off by the men on White coats!
