Syns in a marinade/sauce

Hi everyone, i hope i'm posting in the right section!

I sometimes use the 'Flava-it' peri peri sachets to marinate and cook my chicken breast in. I know from working out the syns on SW online that the syns are 7 for the entire packet. However i was wondering, as i add a LOT of water to this whilst it's cooking (as i used to use the left over as a sauce for rice) and i now drain the chicken before serving, how many syns would i really need to count for this? I can't imagine it being all 7 as i'm not using (probably) even 1/7th of the pack in reality.

Hope this made sense and someone is a little more knowledgable than I am!

This should be in the syn section (just so you know)

Umm...... I would probably say syn it as half the syns so 3.5syns just to be in the safe side. That's just me being cautious though, don't know what anyone else thinks......

Just an idea if you throw so much of the seasoning away (you said you USED to use it for sauce so i am assuming you don't anymore) why use so much to begin with? Couldn't you use half the packet and save half for next time? :)

I also make it from my partner and son, and they still tend to have the juices to flavour their rice and salad, and we all like the hot and spicy flavouring :) when i'm making it just for me i do use less, waste not want not and all that ;-)
