hi there ive herd about quark so much with slimming world but never know what to do with it . is it free on ee?what can i use it for ? any recipes or advice would be great , thank u xx
Its free i've never tried it but everyone uses it loads on this site in sw quiche and as frosting on syn free carrot cake have a search on th recipe thread you'll find loads xx
Personally I think it's the spawn of the devil - yeucky stuff, but we're all different and some Mins love it.
Have a search in the recipe section - there's loads of ideas there, savoury & sweet.
I use it for loads of cooking. Used it yesterday in a chocolate Swiss roll with sweetener to make it a filling and today with pasta to make a creamy sauce with bacon. And yep, free x
I mix mine with egg yolks and boiling water and it makes a really creamy sauce x
I've just used 1/2 a tub with a tbsp natural yoghurt and a sachet of options to make a yummy mousse type pudding for 1 1/2 syns x

I spread mine on toast like Philly and a chopped banana and a tbsp of golden syrup for breakfast.....been doing this for donkeys and actually found that SW have put the recipe on the very last page of the latest mag....its really yumm and fills you up!!

I've been experimenting with quark, have to say I prefer it savory at the moment. I've made quiches for the past two weeks and they are lovely. I line the dish with 2 slices of ham for a good base, use 1 tub of quark and mix with 2 eggs. I chop up some bacon, red onion and mushrooms and fry light them for a few minutes and then put into the dish and pour the quark/egg over. To add a bit of flavour I add chilli or paprika and cut up 1 babybel light to cover the top and bake for 30 mins - Yummy!

I got this recipe from a group a while back:
50g chocolate chips (dark)
2 options indulgence sachets (any flavour)
28g chocolate sprinkles
1.Melt the chocolate chips & stir until smooth.
2.Give the quark a beating until its creamy and stir in the melted choc
3.Add the options and mix in
4.Make 20 blobs onto a baking paper and put in the fridge for about 30 mins
5.Remove from the fridge and roll them into tidier balls
6.Roll them in the chocolate sprinkles and put back in the fridge to set overnight
Works out at 2.5 syns for 2 truffles. (If you use non indulgence options this will come down)
