Savoury lover desperate for sw low syn/ no syn snacks!!

I love savoury snacks like crisps ect, There seems to be loads of ideas for sweet snacks that are syn free of low syns not many for the savoury lovers.

I have been making the 'peanuts' from chickpeas, which are little life savers, but I'm desperate for more ideas.

    Hope someone can help

Check out the smoked mackerel pate recipe great as a snack with crispbreads.

What about making up some potato skins or wedges for free snacks. Or sw quiches are nice as snacks, boiled eggs or scotch eggs.

My fav snack is olives in brine, think it is 8 for 1 syn off the top of my head. I love sitting with a few syns worth for a film instead of popcorn.

How do you make the 'peanuts' from chick peas, do you have the recipe please? They sound right up my steet

I made some SW crisps yesterday which actually tasted quite nice. Just slice a potato thinly (I did it with a potato peeler) and pat them dry. You can sprinkle with salt or seasoning as well. Haven't experimented but I imagine BBQ or chilli would be nice. Lay them on a baking tray and spray with frylight then put in the oven for about 10 mins. Not quite the real thing but would do if you were really craving crisps.

SW would probably not advise this as just a snack, food abuse etc. but that's a personal preference.

Roasted chick peas would not be syn free-you'd need to syn them at the Original day syn value. How ever they would be a lot less syns than peanuts. You lay them out on a baking tray and roast them in the oven til crunchy! Leave them to cool first tho as they are evil straight from the oven! People add spices and stuf to them before they cook
