Found a recipe on the bbc for apple pie samosas changed the recipe abit, didnt use sultanas, swapped sugar for sweetner , butter for beaten egg and used cinamon instead of mixed spice, turned out really nice and just less than 1.5 syns per triangle :)

Just wondered how it worked out as 1.5 syns per triangle? Thanks :)

Recipe makes 12 samosas

4 sheets of filo pasty = 12 syns (3 syns each)
300g cooked weight of apples = 4.5 syns (1.5 syns per 100g)
Total syns =16.5

16.5 divided by 12 = 1.375 per triangle :)

You can work it out using the calories. 1 syn for every 20 cals :)

Just to add if you get the jus rol chilled filo sheets its a pack of 6, you need to use 2 sheets cut in half to make 4 sheets as each sheet is 6 syns, they're plenty big enough though :)

Ooo these sound nice. We have a taster session at group this week may attempt these to take with me!!!

I made these for last Xmas party at our SW group.......
Pete’s Filo Apple Parcels

Makes 36 (1.55 syn each)

Ingredients

Jus Rol filo pastry 6 sheets (each sheet is 6 syns but is cut into 6=1 syn)
Sainsbury’s bramley apple sauce 475g jar (use 1tsp per portion=10g= 0.55 syn)
Cinnamon

Method

Heat the oven to 180c; line a baking tray with baking parchment. Working quickly, place six filo sheets on top of each other and cut in half, then cut each half into three strips lengthways giving you 36 pieces, keep covered with a damp cloth until ready to use, lay out and spray with Fry Light, place 1tsp of the apple mixture at the bottom of the strip, sprinkle with cinnamon, fold diagonally to enclose the ingredients and form a triangle, press down and fold again until you reach the end, seal the edge down with a pastry brush dipped in water. Repeat until all 36 are made.
Place on a tray and spray with Fry Light and bake for 12-13 mins or until golden in colour, serve while warm.
