Curry sauce recipe?

I'm a newbie to the forum, I'm currently going back through pages and pages of recipes to pick out some tasty treats to try. However, something that I'm seriously missing, is my curry sauce, a proper chip-shop-type curry sauce. I know people say the mushy pea curry is similar, but it just didn't strike me as a great curry sauce, a great chicken curry w/rice, yeah, but I want a sloppy sauce to pour over my chips, jacket potatoes and anything else that takes my fancy!
