    Slimming World smoothies!

    Hello everyone!
I've just bought myself a smoothie maker. If you're like me and get a bit bored of eating the same fruits all the time I think this could help with extra easy. If anyone else has any great fruit or vegetable recipes/pictures please post them
I'm going to be making new ones all the time now especially as summer is apparently coming... !

This morning I made a chocolate banana smoothie:

One packet of options carribean coconut hot chocolate - 1.5syns (I think!)
    Two bananas
    One apple
    Two vanilla muller lights
    Some ice cubes
Dash of skimmed milk from healthy extra if needed

    Yummm!
This made enough for one huge serving or two/three smaller glasses.
Sorry if this has been posted before I'm a newbie!
It wasn't around long enough for me to take a photo but it tasted lovely

    Vicky x

mmm sounds delicious... are fruits made into a smoothie free? I may be wrong about this but when I used to go to group I think our C said they had to be counted as syns or something like that... sorry it is a vague recollection so if anyone can shed any light on it for me that would be great

Yep think it is Nettie. It's because it's easier to over eat when fruit is pureed. I think the syn values for pureed fruit is in the back of our books.

Sorry Vicky it all sounds lovely but you need to syn the fruits. So 2 bananas ( 5 each ) and an apple (2.5) will give you 12.5 syns plus 1.5 for the options takes you to 14.

I never really understand it... If I was going to eat 1 apple why cant I blend 1 apple... I wouldn't be eating anymore. I understand if it was orange juice as I could drink pints and pints of fresh orange juice but I don't even eat one orange a week. The science of fruit hey!

It doesn't fill you up as much, so although you may not then eat another apple, you would probably eat something else.

I don't 100% get it either but slimming world works and they wouldn't ask us to syn these things for no reason,

shame as this recipe sounds lovely, although if it does make 3 servings you could always share it with others for 4.5 syns a smoothie

I can't understand how you have to syn the fruits, I started back at SW just from home on Monday and I've been having a smoothie for breakfast every day no way am I counting the syns, if I didn't have a smoothie then I would basically eat no fruit!!

    i have had the following

1 banana, 10 strawberries and 1 vanilla muller light
1 banana, 10 strawberries, handful of blueberries and 1 vanilla muller light
1 small mango, 10 strawberries and 1 vanilla muller light

All have been shared with my kiddies, and that's all I've had for breakfast and not picked at anything until lunch!? Surely this is healthy!?
cant be that bad I've lost 1lb already!?
    Targets
    1. Finally get past 10.10!!
    2. Get to 10.4 by our holiday in May
    3. Get to 9.7 by August for our trip to Disneyland with the kids!!
