Don't know about shop bought ones but here's a recipe for home made syn free mushroom pate

1 medium onion - finely chopped
    Fry light
    1 garlic clove - crushed
    250g mushrooms - finely chopped
125g very low fat cottage cheese
    salt and pepper

Fry onions in fry light, add garlic and cook until soft and just beginning to colour.
Increase heat , add mushrooms and cook for 6-7 minutes, remove pan from heat and leave to cool a little
put mushroom / onion mixture into blender with cottage cheese, season with the salt and pepper, blend until smooth, chill in fridge before using

    syn free on all plans

If you don't like the idea of cottage cheese, I make one using mushrooms, garlic and onion fried off and blended with cannellini beans, fresh parsley, a touch of salt and lots of black pepper. Also suitable for vegans
