    Scan Bran Question

I bought the oat one rather than the original one (didn't realise there were 2 different types) and have been using these to make the scan bran cakes - are they just as good for you as the original ones??

    Hi Hun

I actually prefer the oat ones as they are not as hard and dry.
You can use either of them don't think it really matters xxxx

I was looking up scran bran earlier and found the two types in a health food shop near me. Apparently when I looked to see what the difference is oat bran (if that is the main ingredient) is sort of the opposite of wheat bran. Wheat bran isn't digestible, but oat bran is. I can't remember if it is higher in calories or higher in fiber, but if you google difference between them it will tell you. Oat bran is good for lowering cholesterol tbough

Thanks ladies - sounds like the wheat bran might be the better for losing weight then if it's not digestible?? x
