Bit the bullet

Well I've just bit the bullet and been and joined up to slimming world tonight. I've been feeling really depressed recently as my weight has just piled on. I did weight watchers last year and lost a stone and a half and have put it all back on this year. I got a shock weigh in for my start weigh in and am back up to 13stone :( and so my slimming world journey begins. Think i am gonna try n keep up a week by week journal of my weight and feelings and see if I can 'turn this frown upside down' hopefully this site will give me extra support as well as the sw group I have joined tonight.

Thanks everyone, woken up feeling positive for day one ahead. What does everyone have for breakfast, I'm having weetabix this morning but just wondered what others have for inspiration :)

Yes, this ^^^^^^^ although for the last couple of
mornings I have needed something more substantial as lunch has been uncertain so I have had SW rice pudding using my HEXA
 
I have toast and marmite and a piece of melon
 
I too have started slimming world today, I considered weightwatchers but felt this was best so I don't run out of points and binge. I want to be 10 stone or less by Christmas...about a stone to lose (I was 10.10 last week but have binged since then)

I had yogurt, blueberries and a syn of honey for breakfast...

Will have a look for the thread, thanks for the ideas.

Today has gone ok, had jacket potato and beans for lunch with a muller light and a banana for snack

Tonight I have made chicken and vegetable cous cous which I believe is free and it is (even if I do say so myself) delish

Think the healthy extra milk allowance is hard to judge spesh at work with coffee rounds - think tomorrow I will have a coffee with breakfast then a coffee when I get to work n try n stick to my flavoured water for the day then I may have more control ?

Added a pic of my cosy cous :) think it would be nice as a lunch the next day too

Thanks for the measuring tip, I did that yesterday and it worked a treat :)

Onto day 3 now and feeling more optimistic about the diet, only problem I have today is I am going to my brothers tonight so will end up having a Chinese takeaway, what's the best things to get? My favourite is the vermicelli noodles with chicken and veg but think that will be ridiculous in syn value - thinking boiled rice (is this free from takeaways) and maybe chicken in black bean sauce??

Welcome to Mini's, geordiegirl. Your chicken couscous looks delicious. It sounds like you're well into SW already. Think you've made the right choice between SW and WW - definitely not so much weighing and counting, etc. Good luck! Sorry I can't help with the Chinese question, as we hardly ever eat it but I'm sure someone will come up with the answer - that's what's so great about this group.

I am going to log onto sw online and have a spy on syn values lol x
 
I've looked in the book and have decided to go for chicken in black bean sauce and boiled rice which works out at 5 syns and then 5 prawn crackers are 1 1/2 syns so happy with that, might even have a cheeky gin n slimline tonic to wash it down since I've not used any syns today :)

Well my Chinese was delish last night :) went for the boiled rice and chicken in black bean sauce - was strange ordering boiled rice but have to say didn't miss the egg fried at all was just as tasty without it :)

Thought I would share my lunch I'm having now, all free and think I'm gonna make some up later to take for work tomorrow

Basically, dried noodles, with cherry tomatoes, peppers, wafer thin ham and soy sauce
