Extra Easy: Recipes.

Hi Guys,

Ive only been doing slimming world since Tuesday and have found it quite easy to stick to , even halloween when the kids had a party and i had to say no to sausage rolls and chocolate cornflake cakes :( lol I did however have a curly wurly (6 syns) out of my syns allowance.

The only thing ive struggled with is breakfast. I want to find something preferably syn free and not from my healthy a or b option. and without cooking. ive been having weetabix this week which is 6.5 syns for 2 weetabix. I hate porridge so thats a definite no no! and having fruit and yoghurt just isnt substantial enough for me in the morning. Any Ideas?

Also looking for meal ideas so far this week i have made homemade burgers with slimming world chips, i made the slimming world chilli which was amazing which i didnt think i was going to enjoy as normally would have with garlic bread but instead i made wedges cooked with fry light and a huge salad.yummy! today i am making kebab skewers with 2 different flavour chicken, paprika and bbq with peppers and mushrooms. Looking for lots more ideas though that would be suitable for either the whole family (i have a 5, 4 and 3 year old) or just me and my partner. Not stews or casseroles though.
I love cooking from scratch and i also love cooking in my slow cooker saves so much time.

Anyway ive gone on far to much, any recipe ideas anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.

How about an omelette for breakfast? I quite enjoy it on it's own (adding some HEA cheese mind you) and if I want something even more substantial I'll have some baked beans with it. That's about all I can think of, except fruit and yogurt, that's syn and HE free. Like Happy Holidays said though, if you have a good dig around on here, I'm sure you'll find loads of ideas.

You could make a breakfast frittata or a syn free rice pudding... you may have to use some of your milk though to get it nice and creamy but a yoghurt might do!

I sometimes make a breakfast quinoa in the evening and eat it cold for the next few days but it's a bit of an acquired taste and not for everyone.

Apart from that, as the other guys have said - there are lots of diaries and threads which should give you some inspiration x

Thanks guys will have a nosey about x

I think you're amazing, only on the plan since Tuesday and you've tried all of those recipes - you are going to be a real inspiration to the rest of us.
Good luck with your goals.

Thanks Tina , what can i say i really love cooking particularly things ive not cooked before and i was very eager to get started so already had recipes on hand before i went to my first meeting x

I tend to stick to fruit and a Müllerlight on a morning when I don't have time for a bigger cooked breakfast. Some days I'll have grapes, banana, apple and satsuma with a yogurt and I'm stuffed for ages!
