Slow Cooker Steak?? Help needed for tomorrow

Would someone be able to help me.

OH and DD want steak and chips tomorrow (which isn't for me, I cannot stomach steak at all). OH went and brought some braised steak and wants to do it in the slow cooker (my Xmas present but he seems to be eager to use it).

My problem is how do you do it?

Someone said on a yahoo answer to cover in water with some tomato purée mixed in? But that was it ... How long for? What setting?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, I usually make up beef stock using 1 cube and 3/4 pt boiling water. Put the braising steak in the slow cooker and pour the stock over. I then add anything between 1/4 pt to 1/2 pt of passata and give it a stir. I cook it on low for at least 6 hrs. About half an hour before I'm going to serve it I check the thickness of the gravy, if it's too thin add some beef gravy granules and give it a stir (don't forget to syn these). Hope you like it.

we ended up placing the steak on foil balls; 6 hrs on low - apparently it was beautiful
