    Red face I'm new here

    Hello everybody, I'm Megan.

I'm currently in the middle of my second week on Slimming World, I'm not attending classes but going it alone with my mam's old books. I'm really enjoying the Red days (although I have tried a couple of Green, and no EE as of yet) and I'm loving everybody's recipes!

I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas for some snacks? Chocolate and biscuits (especially chocolate biscuits ) are my ultimate downfall, and I'm curious as to what other people have (or make?) when they're craving sugar?

    Thanks in advance
    xx

My little snack when I fancy something sweet is strawberries and red grapes topped with a vanilla with chocolate sprinkles muller light!

I know this might not cut it for some people who love chocolate but it does the trick for me!

I recently developed a craving for biscuits until I had the most gorgeous biscuit in the world without knowing the syns and then checked afterwards and it was 7- now I daren't go near any biscuit! Haha!

Hi, if sweet things are your weakness I would substitute them for fruit, as above really. Because its a change you're going to have to make to take control. When you feel you can limit yourself there's options choc drinks 2 syns. Pack of Rolos 9 syns. Freddo 5? Syns. I'm more of a crisp girl, so I cut them out and then started on French fries 4 syns. What's helped me lose six stone are my own strict rules. Any snacking during the day is fruit. Up until late at night when I have my supper, I save my healthy extras and syns and then it's a real treat at the end of the day and something to look forwards to all day. I couldn't cope grabbing my syns by the time 11am came and knowing I've got to wait for tomorrow for a treat. It's worked for me. My treats are fruit pastilles 9 syns good luck.

Oooh I like the sound of the muller!

Ahh yeah, thank you Bunnylush. I have been snacking on fruit, and I've been using my health extras either for cereal for breakfast or for toast. If I have bread as a healthy extra I tend to only have one piece during the day, and as it's usually come 8/9 o'clock at night that I start thinking about chocolate, I try to save the second piece for on an evening with some chocolate spread.

I must admit at the end of the first week I really noticed that I wasn't thinking about food as much, and when I tried a couple of green days I was surprised at how little pasta I could stomach. I'm sure it's all psychological!!

Congratulations on losing 6st, that's amazing!! I'm trying to lose half a stone, looks a bit wet in comparison to your achievement, haha :P

We're all in the same boat no matter how much we lose I have a muller and fruit for breakfast, I'm too tight with healthy extras to eat them at meal times lol. I do mainly green, with some red days mikado sticks are 1/2 syn each
