Pulled Pork in Slow Cooker - Help!

Hi there! I'm new to the forums and decided to join after everytime I googled a syn this website would pop up! Fantastic.

Anyway. I am on the EE plan and tomorrow I am attempting to make pulled pork for the very first time. I have googled so many different recipes but I want to ask you, which is best? Have you made it? Do you have any tips?

I don't want to make BBQ pulled pork, just general pulled pork. So far I like the sound of chicken stock, onions and garlic as the diet coke option frightens me a bit?? Never cooked with diet coke. What is it like?

Thanks for any help!

What sort of joint are you using? I'd be slightly worried that the lack of fat would mean that you don't really get the right consistency for pulled pork? I might well be wrong on that though - hopefully someone else will come along and be of more help!

I have made pulled pork in the slow cooker before but I used a shoulder of pork and it was fatty (this was back before my SW days!). I think you'll also need some "sauce" to loosen up the meat. Hmmm.

I found Slow Cooker Pulled Pork | Skinnytaste this which uses pork loin, but again she is using BBQ sauce to moisten the meat up a bit.

I just pop it in the slow cooker with Diet coke is nice keeps it very moist! I prefer Pepsi max though as adds a sweeter taste

On slow all day. Ohh I haven't had it in ages!! Yummy

I fancy Pulled Pork this weekend so might try it with diet coke. I've done ham in coke and chicken in coke so why not pork! Lol.

Does the coke have to completely cover the meat? I've a large slow cooker so that might mean tonnes of coke! Lol. Would like to give this a go.
