L'appetit vient en mang't
So, tomorrow is pancake day (right?). I thought it might be interesting to see how people were going to approach this on SW? I've been looking for a recipe which is least damage (!), and have found this which makes 10 pancakes apparently at 66 cal each. However, the eggs are free I guess, and the water of course also - and the milk could come from the daily allowance so overall didn't seem too bad.

Would be interested to know if anyone has any other recipes to make proper pancakes SW style?

We've just had some syn free ones in group made with porridge oats. They actually tasted better than I expected but weren't as good as the real thing... I've bought a bottle of ready made pancake mix for my son and have worked out one pancake is just under 6 syns so I may have one and syn it.

I keep meaning to try the oat ones. I think I am just going to have a couple of 'normal' pancakes and syn them. Ill save my syns!

I'm making the "magic oaty pancakes" tonight - I'll take them to work tomorrow and zap them in the microwave for a minute at breakfast time. Topped with banana, blueberries and a tbsp of Choc Shot. Syn free (using oats as a HExB) and the rest of the day will be as normal. No biggie :D

I use my syns on pancakes a lot. It feels soooo indulgent.
Tomorrow I'm making a savoury spicy chicken pancake 4.5syns for the flour, followed by a sweet pancake with a tablespoon of melted Nutella, topped with banana. 8.5 syns.
Total 13 syns. I use my hea milk for mixing and I don't have any other syns throughout the day.
I use 25g plain flour, 1 egg and some milk per pancake.

I think I'll work out how many syns I'm willing to spend and then weigh out that amount of flour. I'll take the milk from my allowance and eggs are free of course. I only like lemon juice and sweetener on top so no extra syns there.
I never tend to stick to an exact recipe when making pancakes anyway, I just tend to add milk and eggs to the flour until its the right consistency and they've always been OK.
I do keep meaning to try the oats ones but haven't got round to it yet. I may try those if I have my B choice left at teatime but I really want some real ones too as I love them so much!

I like the oat pancakes so I'll be having those :) I do blend mine though so the texture is more like 'normal' pancakes!! ;)

I'm gonna do myself one but I think I'll just make it up as I go along. Beat and egg, put in a tbsp of flour(think it's 3.5/4 syns?) and hexa milk. Like someone else said, mess around til it's the right consistency! I will have banana and a teaspoon of golden syrup on mine.

Hi I have had pancakes today I used some of my HE's, skimmed milk, poridge oats (ground down in the food processor and used as flour) plus 2 eggs which are free. had them with a tbsp of nutella packed the plate full of fresh fruit, they were lovely and only 4 syns
