    Ideas for batch cooking, please?

I want to restart doing SW and want to spend the weekend batch cooking so it's easier to not get tempted to just order a takeaway. Struggling to think of ideas though so could anybody recommend some dinner ideas that are freezable.

    So far I have:

    Beef goulash
    Spag bol
    Chilli
    Irish stew
    Chicken and veg stew

    My mind's gone blank

Also ideas for snacks that I can prepare for the week or few days ahead. Thank you!

You could make home made burgers i.e just lean mince & onion and freeze before cooking.
Also Spicy burgers made with blitzed kidney beans & bliyzed bread, Again freeze raw.

How about cooking rice and freezing to go with your chilli or even for it to be ready if you just want to make egg fried rice from it once thawed.

    Beef & carrot casserole.

    Now I am blank x

I find curries, casseroles and chillies great because you can vary them so much. You can easily make 3 curries that are entirely different but still delicious.

Every Sunday I make a frittata for snacking which is fine for a few days in the fridge (it's usually all eaten by Wednesday at the latest!!!) and I also make salad pots for lunches on Mondays and Tuesdays.

I'll also make soup which I can portion and freeze for lunches for the rest of the week in case I can't be bothered to make more salads.

    Hope that helps

Loads of good ideas here already. The only things I can think of to add to it are things like risotto and paella. You can make big pans of these and then freeze individual portions.

I also made big vats of sweetcorn chowder and seafood chowder and froze portions of that xx

I've never frozen risotto or paella. Does it stay as nice?

Ive just started batch cooking myself as slipped up last week and gave in with a takeaway because Id had a rubbish day at work and couldnt face cooking.

    So far Ive made:
    Chilli
    Lasagne
    Soup (chilled rather than frozen)
Tomato pasta sauce (I cheat and buy the quick cook pasta so dinner literally takes 5 mins!)

I also chop up a big bowl of salad vegetables (minus the lettuce as that goes brown) on a Sunday so I can make sure I get my 1/3 superfree on the plate with no work during the week.
On top of that I make a bottle of syn free balsamic/ soy sauce dressing and keep that in the fridge as well (sweeten with sweetener/ lemon juice and I add some chilli flakes for a kick- just make sure you shake vigorously before serving)
