Extra Easy: sweet substitute

Hi am.toying with the idea of trying to make a cereal bar (hb) well sorta pinched idea from some one else and the fruit oats seeds nuts ect are all manageable but am wondering at....

A =a binding agent thinking maybe egg whites

B= some way to get a sweet hit into them?

Any ideas however random gratefully. Received

Have a look in the recipe subforum as there are a number of flapjack recipes made from oats and dried fruit
