    KFC fake-away chicken syn free

    Free on EE & Original if you use Weetabix as HEB

    Ingredients

    2 Chicken breasts cut into bite sized pieces.
    4 Weetabix
    2 Eggs beaten
    1 chicken oxo cube
    1 level tsp mixed herbs
    1 level tsp paprika
    tsp mild chilli powder
    tsp onion powder/ granules
    tsp garlic powder/granules
    2 level tsp salt
    1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

    Method


    1. Preheat oven 200c
    2. Blend all the ingredients apart (from the chicken and the eggs ) for 10 seconds.
    3. Empty the mixture into a bowl.
    4. Add the chicken pieces to the egg and coat well
    5. Then add the chicken to the weetabix crumb mixture and coat evenly.
    6. Place the chicken pieces evenly on a baking sheet
    7. Cook for about 15-20 minutes turning once.

    I've seen another recipe that involves using smash instead of weatabix, I'll have a look and share later .

    I tried to make a SW pizza once using smash as the base.....it went horrendously wrong and was the foulest thing I've ever tasted!

    Oh i wont be trying that then. i tried pizza toast grill one side of the HEB toast turn it over, spread tomato puree on, some oregano, and HEA 30g cheddar, the cheese doesnt go very far though

    I like the pizza toast was very yummy, I used some syns for extra cheese .

    Here's the smash version, I haven't tried it myself so cant comment...

    ! i have some in the oven as we speak i didn't use the recipe up here i ended up putting in-

    wholemeal breadcrumbs HEB
    1/4 tsp chilli powder
    1/2 tsp garlic granules
    2 tsp mixed herbs
    1 tsp paprika
    i chicken oxo
    salt
    black pepper
    1/2 tsp celery salt
    pinch turmeric
    tiny bit of garlic paste

    its cooking now and smells like stuffing! i will take a pic and upload it. i found so many variations on the recipe i decided to use alllsorts plus kfc say they use 11 herbs and spices so i tried chucking 11 in LOL. only got to 10. will let you know how it tastes. x

    the taste was really nice although the chicken was quite dry so next time i think i will cut the chicken pieces in half or even cube it. the photo wouldn't upload, something to do with the size of the file?
