Sounds good to me, how long did you do them for. Could freeze them I suppose.

I usually buy McCains jackets but it works out 1 each and I never remember to put fresh ones in the oven - take too long.

I always thought you needed to use liquid in a slow cooker.

I have today bought some Jacket size spuds. I am definitely gonna try that tomorrow. I will freeze one and see how it is after a couple of days. I am one of those people that if they are in the fridge I am likely to eat them.

    Thanks for this tip Jullianna

How does this work, don't you need fluid in the slow cooker?

Love chicken done in my slow cooker, really need to try jacket spuds :-) I used to work in a kitchen and we would get frozen jackets which we just popped in the oven for about 30 mins. Don't know if that helps at all!!!

Well I did 3 jackets in the slow cooker. I did turn to high for the last hour as I was impatient. They are very good. As I had just had dinner I just had a 1/4 of one of them. What is left is going in the fridge for tomorrow. The other 2 when cooled are going in the freezer minus the foil. With McCains jackets you put them in the microwave from frozen for 5mins. (1syn) On Wed I will try one of the frozen ones.

    Watch this space.

Can I ask, when you put chicken, potatoes etc in slow cooker, do you put liquid in?
I always wanted a rotisserie but can't afford it, it sounds like I can do a whole chicken in the slow cooker just as good, what about a pork joint for pulled pork?
