Anything you make each week?

I've only been back on SW for 3 weeks but I'm definitely thinking that preparation is the key. I've taken to making certain things for the week on my days off (hummus, butternut squash soup) which I think is really helping. Does anyone else do this? Should I be making any other fabulous creations for my fridge? I'd love to hear people's ideas :p
 
Yes definitely, sometimes if I have time I do Sunday batch cooking! I love making up chilli, chucking super free, out it in the fridge and eating it got or cold :)

mmmm I haven't had chilli in forever! Will have to make some soon :)

The hummus is super easy!

Ingredients
1 x tin chickpeas
Half tub of quark
lemon juice
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

drain the chickpeas and put them in the blender with the other ingredients. Blend until smooth.

That's it! So quick and easy and you get plenty. Keeps in the fridge for like a week as well. You can put any flavourings in there you want and it's great with some veg sticks when you're hungry.
 
I only started making speed soup recently but it's definitely a favourite for me, its a bonus at that because it boosts weight loss :)
 
I make a HUGE pot of homemade tomato sauce and then freeze it in portion sizes. I add whatever veg I've got as well, and blend it till smooth. It's great on pasta, as a base for chilli, curry, stew, spag bol, anything really!

Here's the recipe... At the moment I'm losing 2 to 2.5lb per week :) 1 can mixed bean salad 1 can green lentils 2 cans chopped tomatoes 1 can baked beans Handful of split lentils 2 large leeks 1 large onion 4 medium carrots 2 parsnips Green, red & yellow pepper 2 beef/chicken or vegetable stock Salt and pepper and Mixed herbs

Chop and put all vegetables, Cover with water bring to boil and simmer until soft Can be left chunky or blended
