Hi All

I have some chicken breast sitting there and i want to be able to use them with some 'new' recipes this year and i was looking for ideas.

I do the usual wrapped in bacon, currys, pasta, usual boring ones salads etc. Just wondering does anyone have any tried and tested ideas.

I have seen some videos where people pound the chicken with a rolling pin and use them flat for stir fry style chicken so it cooks quick.

Using one of those flavour bags today never used them before.

Would be grateful for ideas the stranger the better

Thanks in advance

You can also bang them flat and use them for a pizza base or making "spring chicken" rolls :)

Apparently if you make up couscous with stock and herbs then coat chicken in egg and the couscous and put in the oven it makes it go like KFC chicken. The couscous goes crispy and is free. Im going to give this a try soon

I like the cous cous idea gonna give that a try

you can make up hunters bbq chicken brown the chicken breast wrap in bacon bake in the overnight with s/w bbq sauce an top with your cheese (a item) in the oven served with new potatoes an veg

You can chop the chicken into chunks, cook them in the frying pan, then add peas, baked beans, spinach, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and white wine vinegar, any vinegar is good really, I just have loads of this one :). Then just cook and stir occasionally till it's all cooked and sticky. Yum yum

Really sorry, but that would be classed a tweak and the cous cous would need to be synned

Why's that? My consultant didn't say anything about a tweak?

It's because the cous cous is not being used ad it was intended , i.e. as a filling carbohydrate. I have to say there is a lot if debate going on about tweaks...i think if it's a main meal that is being tweaked and your weight loss doesn't suffer it's a clear go ahed from me...things like cous cous cake, or smash cake etc. i personally stay away from! However, it is a personal choice and i am not here to tell you what to do...but if you see your weight loss slow down, maybe then try not to tweak and see if that makes a difference!

Ok, I see what you are saying but I do make sure use it to fill me up - so I have chicken with the cous cous and salad. I tend not to snack so I fill up on my meals.
Thanks for the heads up :)
