Where in the world are you???

I'm from Glasgow originally but now live in Abu Dhabi in the middle east, doing SW at home on my own, very glad of the forum for help and support though

From Australia, but living in Brazil. This forum is such a godsend for helping me keep on track, giving new ideas, etc. I don't think I would have lasted 8 weeks without it!

Wow what's weather like???
Love Scotland but neeeeeed sun

Thw weather in the winter, which is just finishing up is pretty nice and could even have been described as cold in the low 20's, ramping up now we've had a few days in the mid 30's, then the sandstorms came and it went down again...sand is gone today so assume that means summer is coming and we've 55 degreees to look forward to....great

How do you find it with getting SW friendly supplies, it's very hit and miss here, haven't seen cottage cheese or fromage frais for months now actually!

Not too badly actually - Brazilians are VERY body conscious so there's no shortage of healthy/low fat varieties. Plenty of fresh fruit too. Loads of dairy here so fat-free cottage cheese, natural yoghurt, laughing cow lights, etc is all available. Much better than when I lived in China, low fat dairy was practically impossible! Where I have trouble is that Brazilians (and South Americans in general) like their meat really fatty so I find myself spending 15 minutes dissecting a pack of bacon to get the fat off, or trying to grill mince in my George Foreman to get the excess fat out if I'm making spag bol or meatballs. It's more challenging, but not impossible. And at least I can read the ingredients lists (more or less!)

How do you get on?
