I've had to rejoin recently after a month or so break and Id got my bronze and silver awards but with my new book and fresh start Im starting from bronze again.
Hopefully I'll be off for run tonight. Got myself a garmin and a hrm for Christmas so have already tried them out. Loving getting back out.

e.g I have a Garmain watch that calculates how far/fast you run/cycle/walk etc, so a GPS & has all sorts of other bits in it that are far too complicated for me! DH has a Garmain for his bike which calculates calories burned/ascends/descends/miles etc etc.
Good piece of kit but pricey!

Great thread I have manged to acquire my bronze, silver and gold body magic awards, and got called a saddo by my OH for planning when to do my sessions this week to keep me in line for my platinum lol I use a cross trainer at home but looking to maybe start running if my knees will take it in the better weather. Oh and also looking to get a medicine ball as heard they are fab for abs
I have signed up to run a 10K race in April 2013, so I'll be training for that 3 times a week now for 14 weeks! Hopefully if I start recording my exercise I can get my Body Magic awards next year
I'm doing a half marathon in March.... scary stuff can't wait though.
Haven't done body magic today as I have a stinking cold hoping it clears up soon, if not I'll def be making sure my body magic is back on track once we're back from our new year trip

I'm (supposed) to be running a half marathon in October next year which is going to be interesting as I don't run at all. I will also have fitness tests for jobs at some point in 2013 as well. So when I get back home then off to the gym it will be! I can't use tread mills as they set off my shin splints so my plan is exercise on the wii when I can't get to the gym along with DVDs (looking at getting the 30 day shred) combined with weights and cardio at the gym. Then hopefully once the weather gets a bit nicer (and I'm no longer on placement) I can get out and start running along the sea front That's the plan anyway. Going to need my friend to kick my ass in order to do it though.
Im taking up swimming in the new year with Daughter - ( yes ive decided to take the plunge) no pun intended lol. Its always been catch 22 I wont swim until i lose weight and to help me lose I need to swim. So hopefully the swimming will help tone me as i lose
I know the feeling! However there is no way you'd get me in a swimming costume right now though I'd love to do aqua fit and the like once I'm a bit slimmer (and fitter).

Lol what u like ya dirty mare. I just think it will be the easiest gentlest form of exercise for my joints. I might try a couple of zumba sessions at home see how i manage with my foot and if ok go back to that too
