Looking for a buddy for slimming world. Started 2 days ago!!

Hi, I'm new to minimins and looking for a buddy to pair up and give inspiration when i'm finding things tough and that I can support also. I've 2.5stone to lose and have started exercising as well.

Hi, I've just started slimming world this week too, I want to get 2 stone off :-D x
have you a target date? I'm hoping to have the weight off by September and am aiming to do 3exercise classes a week.
 
Hi I joined S/W nearly 4weeks ago, been trying to lose weight since Christmas but couldn't do it on my own. I am also pretty new to this site. I have lost 4lb over the last 3 weeks and got about 9lb to go. I am also putting extra effort at the gym and shunning the lift at work in favour of the stairs, every little helps.
 
I've had 2children in the past 2years and my oldest will be 2in may and my youngest is 5months. Lost after she was born but really hard keeping my hands out of the cupboard!!!! Really wanted to lose weight myself but I need the structure going to a group will give me. Have been doing 1circuits class a week and the plan is to increase that to 3 a week. 2classes and 1dvd. Return to work in July and would hope to have a good bit off by then. Have a holiday planned in September and I'm aiming to lose 2lbs on my 1st week and 1lb each week after that. Any more will be a bonus. Have my weigh in on wed and have been sticking to it so far. Good luck with the weight loss but to be honest it's the inches I'd like to lose so have taken measurements as well!:eek:
 
I also weigh in on a Wednesday and I've been good so far as well. I find I stick to plan much better if I fill in the online S/W diary for some reason I hate to go over my sins and they are glaringly obvious. I just want to able to fit into the clothes in my wardrobe comfortably. My head in in the right place and the moment and not tempted by the cakes and biscuits in work but it is hard. Why does fat taste so good but look so awful.
 
Hi, I've just joined on here and I start my first SW class on Thursday. I'm quite looking forward to trying out new foods but worried about my lack of willpower!!. I've been having a look though and there seems to be loads of recipes that I can't wait to try so fingers crossed.
I want to lose around 2 stone, I'm currently at my heaviest ever and feeling bloated and big so that's what has kick started me joining SW.

You'll be fine S/W is a great eating plan, it is sometimes hard when the nice treats are around but I find having a little and counting the syns is satisfying. I feel the same if I have 3 squares of choc or the whole bar and if the whole bar I then feel guilty. The good thing about the plan is you can adapt almost any recipe to it. All the family eat the meals I make and don't even know it is a slimming world dish. The weight goes on so easy but takes an age to come off.
 
I'm the same. Preparation is the key Also. I didn't get a password for the sw site so hoping I get it tomorrow night. Just back from a circuits class. So so tough but feel good after it. I'm definitely the slowest in the class but I don't care because it's all about me when it comes to it. I saw a quote which said being fat is hard, losing weight is hard... you choose your hard. And it's right. Being overweight is emotionally and psychologically hard but losing it is physically and temptingly hard!! We'll all get there. We just have to remain positive! There's no reason why so many other people can lose weight and we can't. It's about commitment! I'm beginning to sound like a psychologist! Anyway keep me updated on your weigh in tomorrow. I didn't get home last week until 10so hoping this week will be earlier and I'll post my loss (hopefully)! Good luck!
 
Not long got back from my class stayed the same this week, hovered between the 8.5 and 9lb, it had to land on the 9. I don't feel too bad though as I know each pound equals 3500 calories which puts things into perspective. Hopefully next week I will lose another pound, as long as I am at my target by July I will be happy. How have you done?
 
Well done on your loss, that's fab.
I start my class tomorrow night ( Thursday ). I want to lose about 2 stone I think. I'm quite good during the day, I'm busy in work so can keep myself distracted. The evening are going to be hardest I think and the nibbling in between meals. I am determined though so hopefully it'll work. What do you have for snacks/nibbles ?
 
Well just back from first weigh in and lost 1.5lbs. Had hoped to lose 2lbs but I'm happy enough. Staying for the chat afterwards makes a world of difference. Stuck to the programme all week and done 3circuit type classes. I do feel has though I've lost weight as I can do my belt another notch. I took measurement last week and plan to measure monthly as I sort of guessed that with the exercise the weight may not come off as quickly. Happy now and looking forward to another week of healthy eating and exercise! Well done with the maintenance. It's going to feel like a long road for us all but it's gonna get us there in the long run! Keep the chins up as my loving sisters always say to me!!!
 
I lost 2lb's at weigh in! I find I need to cook in bulk so I'm prepared. I'm a student sick kids nurse so I do long shifts and I find it hard not to nibble especially if it's night shift. Happy to take a pound a week off. Bought a burger press and have been making my own with the extra lean mince and there so amazing! boys love them too which is a bonus saves me making 2 meals! x
 
That's brilliant student. I'm still on maternity leave but due back in July. Been out for a long walk today and plan to do a DVD tomorrow. Hoping to lose at least a stone by the time I go back to work. To be honest its more the measurements I'm hoping to go down in and tone up a bit as well. That's why I've started the exercise as well. Don't have scales at home and glad I don't otherwise I wouldn't be able to help myself from checking every day. Just gonna keep with the programme. I have a holiday booked in September and really just want to be fit by then. Determined to keep exercising and the healthy eating will help so much. Keep it up!!!
 
Don't know how I will get on this week had two milestone birthdays in the family this week so cake and a couple of drinks Thursday and cake today (only small pieces though). I did have a hard class in the gym Friday and a swim afterwards and will do the same on Monday so hopefully will make up for it. Anyway nothing on now until 3rd May so got to be extra good so can relax a bit then on my night out. I don't really snack but if I do it's usually on fruit, my downfall is I like something sweet after my tea so I still have a bit of cake but a small piece. I know one of the girls on S/W buy the packs of chicken and snacks on that I would think it would be filling as its protein.
