Hi all.

I have about 5 stone to loose. This is the same 5 stone that I previously waved good bye to 3 years ago that came back and tbh the same excess weight that I've carried since I was a little girl.

I successfully did SW last year on ee, in 7 weeks I lost 1.5 stone.... And then Christmas came!! ?
That bad eating pattern that saw Christmas continued all through this year right the way to may. In desperation for a holiday I went on 2 weeks ago I tried every quick starvation diet you can name that I can never stick to which in turn ends up making me heavier.

I know slow & steady wins the race and I'm embracing SW again with a bit more determination.

SO...

Christmas is 6 months away...eeek. Sorry!!! Which gets me thinking about how nice it might be to get into a party dress without getting hot,sweaty, bright red in the face or having a complete breakdown about how I look or fit into a party dress.

Anyone else thinking the same as using this as motivation?

Oh yeah! I'd love to get 3 (maybe 4) stone off by Christmas! Wonder if it's do-able.... how many weeks to Christmas??
 
Oh my goodness yes!!!! I would love to have my 4 stone award by then and maybe buy a size 14 dress.
 
I have got 30 weigh ins before Christmas... ahh that will come round so quickly!
I initially wanted to be at target by Christmas which would be a total of 5 stone, I've still got 3.5 stone to go! I don't actually get dressed up at Christmas as we go to some log cabins in the middle of a national park and I'd look pretty daft in a dress when everyone else has on jeans and wellies. However, I would love to go to the cabin being able to wear some really nice skinny jeans and some ugg boots or something. That would mean I need to lose 1.6lbs each week to get to target :rolleyes:
 
I have 30 weigh ins before xmas too, and I would love to be 30lbs lighter! I'm a slow loser and thats an achievable goal for me. That would hopefully be 2 dress sizes down.

30 weigh ins until Christmas! I weigh in today and I make it exactly that until Xmas eve :0)

Scary that actually it prob will go so quickly! I am going to set a target of 3 stone.

I will keep checking in this thread for your updates.

Quick question... Every time I start exercise while dieting I stop losing and then give up! Do u do both if so how long until results show on scales again?

my last weigh in would be Monday 23rd December, the day we go away!

I haven't really exercised enough for it to effect the scales to be honest although I am going to renew my gym membership next week. I never understand why doing exercise would make us maintain or gain, surely if you burn more calories than you eat then you lose weight?! Bodies confuse me lol x

Well apparently muscle weighs more, but I did my measurements too and not only did they stay the same so did my weight after what felt like so much effort but I'm going to keep gym to once a week but swim the other times instead. It's healthy ? confuses me too! X
 
I'd love to join this! My goal is to have lost 6st total by Christmas! As of today I have lost 2st 7lbs! So I have 3.5st (49 lbs 1.63lb/week!) to loose in 30 weigh ins! (I also wi on Tuesday!) Bring it on!

Wohoooooo!! That's very do able Hun. In fact sounds really motivating as seems a lot of weight but a realistic weekly target.

I'm really struggling tonight, hadnt had my a or b so just had a pack of ryvita & cheese triangles even though I've just had dinner- seems to be one of those days!

I'd love 4 stone off by Christmas....that's about 1.5 a week! Bit it would be do nice to be able to walk into any shop and pick anything up and know that it fits! Not shopping online cos nowhere has anything nice for an elephant lol

Will be lovely! Will be nice to be able to wear knitwear without looking like the mitchellin man too!!

Was having the christmas thought in group last night, so glad this post was started! Would love to loose 6 stone by crimbo already 2 st 1.5 lbs down so think with sone determination it can be done l. Think I would be about a size 14 which would be magic! Would treat my self to a new tweed skirt!!! We can do it girls! :D
 
All in all I want to loose 4-5 stone but I find motivation hard! I've been dieting since January and I've only lost 7lbs!! Including a stint at weight watchers i keep loosing and faining the same 7lbs!! 3 stone by Christmas would be awsome I would be able to fit into a 12-14 so I'm in :D maybe this will help with motivation ;) x
 
I'm up for this I've also got 30 weigh ins before christmas would have to lose 1.2lbs a week to be at target by christmas would be a great feeling to be able to wear a dress at christmas and not feel horrible and bloated in it!
 
I'd love to join too please. I weigh - in on Tuesday's. I am trying to be realistic and am hoping for 30lbs off for Santa coming to town ;)

Muscle doesn't weigh more than fat! It's a physical impossibility - a pound of muscle weighs exactly the same as a pound of fat!

When exercising you may retain water around the muscle when you first start but should disappear after a couple of weeks.

Hi. Muscle weighs the same as fat as shown here. However muscle is alot leaner. X
