Slimming World with 5:2

This week I decided that, in a bid to boost my losses in the run-up to my holiday (5 more weigh in's!), I would start to do a combination of Slimming World and the 5:2 diet.

I know there are others on here that also follow this concept, so I thought it might be a nice idea to start up a little thread where we can share ideas and also our results.

Today's my first fast day of the week, and my meals are going to be as follows:

B = Pineapple (60cals)
L = Tesco sweet chilli noodle salad with half a red pepper (162cals)
D = M&S "Count on Us" red Thai chicken curry with 25g (dry weight) brown rice (277cals)
Total calories = 499
 
Anyone still doing this? I'm looking into 5 2 at moment but want to do SW the 5 days. How do you do the 2 days do you worry about HEXs or free and super free or do you literally just do 500 cals x
 
I still do this :)

I tend to forget SW on the 2 fast days and just count calories using MFP. However, I try to stick to mainly protein and veg on these days as these types of meals tend to fill me up for less calories so the days do end up being SW friendly anyway.

Typical food includes vegetable soup with scan bran and/or veggie omelettes (sometimes made with just egg whites as lower cals).

I try to get through the whole day without having anything but water and black tea/coffee and then I find I can have a fairly normal SW-friendly meal for dinner for around 500 cals.

Yep. As I've got closer to target it's become harder to lose. I might not always be 100% the other 5 days but this allows me a little wriggle room.

I do a lot of exercise, follow SW on the whole for 5 days and do 2 fast days and the most I ever really get is -1lb a week! xx

Yeah I also do tons of exercise and never get decent losses, follow SW to the letter but the weight isn't shifting so it's going to have to be 5:2 or WW x
 
Make sure you're having 1/3 of your superfree as part of each meal too. That def helps with losses x

Being veggie I find it's more like 1/2 superfree on my plate each meal, I have done SW before and I always get to this weight and then the weight sticks and will not shift no matter what I try, weighing food, eating all syns, eating less syns etc.

Maybe 5:2 would shake it up a little, got a half marathon Sunday so will look into starting next week x
