    From Plus size to Princess!!

    Hi everyone,

    I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has quite a bit to lose, maybe 6 stone plus, that fancies supporting each other in the long journey ahead? I started following SW last week & at my starting weight I had just under 8 1/2 stone to lose to get to my goal weight. I weighed in on Sunday morning & got a first week loss of 7lbs but am under no illusion that I will get loses like this every week (if only!!!) I think because I have so much to lose that I am taking it a step at a time because my goal weight just seems so far off.

    Does anyone fancy joining me?

    I had hoped that there might have been a few others in the same position as me with lots of weight to lose & a long journey ahead that might have liked to join in a help motivate & keep each other on track as I know that we will all have our ups & downs along the way. Anyhow I think I will keep posting & hopefully I will have some company soon.

    One of my huge weaknesses is diet coke & although I know its ok I have decided to try to cut down on the amount of it I drink & up the amount of water I drink. So from today on I'm aiming to have 5 glasses of water throughout the day... I'll up this hopefully at a later date but I wanted to keep it realistic for me for the time being anyway but my goal is to be drinking water & my diet coke be a treat rather than the norm.

    Another thing I want to drink more of is green tea. I prefer the taste of the one with lemon so am going to have that & I am going to aim for 2-3 cups a day of that to hopefully give the scales a little nudge!!! No harm in trying sure there isnt!!!

    I would love to hear what other have swapped or tried to increase in their diets to help not only give the scales a nudge in the right direction but also in the long run amining for a healthier lifestyle

    Hi Dance Mum, my name is Jane and I started sw for the 3rd time on 6th Aug 2014, lost 8lb in two weeks and got my 1st half stone award, like you I have around 9.5stone to lose, but I'm looking at it differently than how much I have to lose, I set myself weeks rather than stones doesn't seem as daunting, when I started at sw it was 72weeks till 23rd Dec 2015 which then I'm going to go to target, if I haven't got down to the weight I want to be 9st.7.5lb then I will stay at whatever weight I am for 3mths doing the maintenance bit to see if I can do it for when I do reach my goal target if that makes sense, then start again with more weeks.
    If I lose 2lb each week for 72weeks I will of lost 10st which is what I'm aiming for, I have already done 3weeks and 8lb off (2lb in reserve lol), in that 72weeks I have made mini targets like how much I’ve should of lost say by my birthday or our anniversary, this Christmas, going to see Peter Andre's concert with a meet and greet, Easter and so on, which will break it down and doesn't seem as long.

    I already lost 5st two years ago but put most of it back on with health problems in the family and moving home and stopping sw, now I'm fully focus and in the healthy eating zone (not diet),I am a diabetic which doesn’t help and have a under acted thyroids which doesn’t help trying to get the weight off because it comes off very slowly.

    So I would like to join your thread and try and help each other or anyone else that might want to comes along onboard. xx

    Hey - Im Rita , almost 34 years old and never been slim in my adult life.
    Started SW feb 2014 so far I have lost 5 st and 1,5 pounds. But for last 4 weeks my weight loss have slowed down. 2 weeks I had pound or half a pound loss. Last week I maintain. And this week I will gain. Weight in is tomorrow and today my scale told me I have gained 4 lbs.
    So Im thinking to have success Express this week. Maybe it will help me and get me back into zone

    Jane I love your idea of breaking it into weeks rather than setting a weight target. I think if we set a weight target it always just seems soo far off doesnt it & using milestone dates or events will definitely help too. I think you are soo right viewing this as a healthy eating plan rather than a diet which is where I went wrong before. I was a stone off target & thought I had done soo well I allowed the bad habits to slip back in & then before I knew it 2 years of 'I'll start again next week' had passed. I'm hoping this time I have learnt from my mistakes.. the last time I swore I would never be this weight again & here I am. I know I haven't a lot of weight off yet but I am already feeling soo much better in myself generally that I know its worth the effort & willpower!! lol

    Rita I remember plateauing the last time a few times along the way & there was nothing as frustrating as not seeing those scales moving when you knew you had been good all week. I remember doing all sorts.... fish week (much as I love fish by the end of it I wanted something different by the end of it, upping the exercise, drinking more water, not snacking, more superfree & superspeed... anything to get the scales moving. I have decided this time though to start on the green tea from the beginning... firstly because I actually do like the one with lemon & secondly when I have a coffee I want something with it!!!!

    Now I am going to go & try to work a wee mini target for Christmas... thank you Jane

    Couldnt believe it when I hopped onto the scales this morning & they showed an 8lb loss!!!! I know my body is still adjusting so the losses will slow down but I'm going to make the most of it while I can coz no doubt soon enough I'll hit & plateau & be moaning about the scales plotting against me.

    I'm definitely going to carry on drinking plenty water & cutting back on the diet coke & I'm going to aim to have 2-3 cups of green tea a day. If nothing else the running back & forward to the bathroom is good exercise!!!

    Are you weight day is Saturday Dance Mom ? Mine is and I gained a pound this week. Not very happy with ot but not very upset either. Yesterday I was thinking I will have 4 lbs gain so half a pound or pound is just great.

    I will do next week SE as it have been very slow month and I havent lost almost nothing. I dont mind slow weight loss, its all good for skin but I need to get kickstart to give me more motivation.

    I have mini goal for this month. To be 120 kg by the end of this month. Im 3,5 lbs away. Its not impossible to get this loss and I will work hard to get it.

    I have lots of mini goals planed on my journey and so far I have keep all of them. Dont want to fail my goal now.
    As
    My next goal will be 110 kg for christmas. Then to be 99 kg on my first sw anniversary. And to be target next year on my bday.
    Big plans I know - I will leave all other goals a side for now and work hard to get this one thats here in 7 days

    I was little upset about gain yesterday and all month been so slow - and I still have a lot to lose , so Im trying SE this week . Been on SE for two days now and I do weight myself every morning / yes, I know I should not , but I do / - proud to say SE is working =) I already lost 2 pounds , compared to yesterday, so will keep going .

    Excited for you. Hopefully the scales will reward you for being patient next time you weigh in. Sometimes our body does that to us when they get used to what we are eating & it just needs a bit of a kick start to get it going again. I remember all too well how frustrated I used to get when my weight loss seemed to hit a wall. Good luck with success express & keep us updated on how you are getting on with it x
