Crazyfool & Charlotteann 's attempt at goal for 2015

So I have around 1.5 stone to go to goal. I rejoined my local SW group today. I have been shopping and I am ready :D

I am currently 10 st 13.5 and I have never been below 10 st 4 ...it's all in the mind but I am frightened to put my goal at 9.7 even though that's what it should be. I have set my interim at 10 stone and will adjust later on.

Having read the new plan SP it looks quite doable :D

Thanks for setting us up!

Joined back to my group today and wasn't as bad as I expected. I'm currently at 10stone 7 and have set my target as 9 stone (can't remember the last time I was that weight!).

I have a holiday booked for 5th may this year so would love to be at target or very close by then!

Have read the SP plan and getting myself confused to might need your help with that crazyfool!

How have you found your first day on plan? :)

Hi.

That's good news you haven't gained as much as you thought. I think May is very doable.

If I have my facts right SP is basically a plan to boost weight loss

1 X A choice
2 X B choice
5-15 syns per day
Meals should be based on speed foods and protein. No potatoes etc if you want to be 100 % SP ( because potatoes are free but not a speed food)

I spoke to two ladies who had done it last week and loved it. When I do it my day might look something like this.

Weetabix and fruit Milk A choice

Ham salad sandwich ( B choice bread ) or veg/ chicken soup and bread/ ryvita
Fruit

Roast chicken, carrot & swede mash, green veg

Then syns for whatever I fancy.

I feel much better today having some proper veg and no crap :D

Hey

I think my plan will be to do normal extra easy this week to get my head back in the game and then try an SP week next week. Are you trying this week?

I need to read over that section properly to plan out some days first! Will be interested to see a food plan/diary if you do decide to do SP!

Made spag Bol tonight and id forgotten how much I enjoy cooking from scratch! First Saturday in a long time that no wine has passed my lips either lol!

Well I think I'm going to do the same as you this week. A full week of Extra easy then maybe next week when I'm more organised I will try SP. You do get an extra B choice mind on B so it's worth doing it for that. I read the plan again and it said if you do SP for a week and like it carry on and add an extra A choice. I need to double check with my consultant because if that is the case I wil definitely do it. ( For the 2 xA's and 2 X B's )

I've just had poached eggs on 60 grm wholemeal toast and mushrooms gorgeous.

Oh I'll be interested to know what the answer to that is when you find out! Like the idea of 2 A and B choices!

Yummy, I'm almost snap to that but I had baked beans aswell! That should keep me going for a few hours! Got lots of fruit in to snack on too if I get peckish.

What do you have planned for tea?

Well the boys and hubby are having Cumberland sausage. I think I'll do a chicken breast with mash, carrot / swede mash and gravy for me.
I'm just making a big pan of soup for lunches through the week. I buy those ready chopped veg in a bag and Ive added lentils and turkey . I take soup to work in one of those soup mug things that go in the microwave.

That sounds yummy! Do your family eat different to you then? I'd find that difficult. Luckily my partner will eat anything so he gets whatever I cook!

Soup is a great idea especially at this time of year! Might make some up one evening this week when I have some spare time. We have a cafe at work that does omelettes and salad and jacket spuds etc so will stick to those until I get time.

I've got left over spag Bol tonight so nice easy meal! Taken dog out for a nice walk at lunch time too so bit of body magic. Do you do any exercise along side SW? Or plan to? X

Well to be honest my husband will eat pretty much what I eat. The boys are a little bit more fussy unfortunately. I tend to make the kids theirs earlier and ours later on. My husband works shifts so if he's at work I just freeze what is left. I make a recipe for 4 then 3 portions get frozen if you know what I mean.
At the moment I'm not exercising. In the past I went to the gym loads I was pretty addicted to be honest but I don't get as much time now with the kids and working full time. I want to get back though at some point. I have a cross trainer in the garage so I actually have no excuse... I wouldn't mind getting back to kettle bells in a couple of months when the nights arent as dark. It's dark now when I get in from work and I hate driving at night.
What about you ? do you exercise ? x

Yeah that's the problem with trying to exercise when your working full time and especially if you have a young family too it takes up all your time! Maybe use your cross trainer even once or twice a week for 15 mins? Every little helps! :)

I joined the gym in September and was going twice a week but as of this week coming I'm upping it to 3 classes a week including les mills classes which are really high intensity so hoping they shed a few pounds!

Do you have a date you want to be at target by?

Well to be honest we normally go abroad in Summer so I would of said then. However this year we aren't as we are extending the house . I would like to be at goal for Summer though without a doubt. I have so many things in my wardrobe I'd love to fit into and you can't hide under lots of clothes in Summer. I'd really like to get some skinny jeans too.

My tea turned into chicken sprinkled with Cajun spice, roast peppers and onions, boiled rice and a dollop of half fat creme fraiche 1.5 syns.

xx

You will definitely get there by summer, stick with it and it will pay off :)

I have tons of stuff in my wardrobe that I would love to take on holiday so fingers crossed they fit by May!

By the way - back to the soup topic - do you blitz your soups or leave them chunky? Just planning out my soup recipe!

I blitz it but so its totally smooth. I blitz so there are still some chunks. I do it mainly so that it's thicker and doesn't leak. I prefer it chunky you see. Have a good day.

Sounds yummy. I think psychologically I feel fuller after chunky soup than I do smooth soup so may try your method!

Today I've had:

Fruit and Muller light for brekky.
Alpen light bar to snack mid morning.
Left over spag Bol again for lunch (it's finally all gone!) and a pear.
Currently cooking Linda McCartney red onion and Rosemary sausages, mashed skin on potatoes and peas with a little splash of gravy!

Hoping the sausages are nice, I've heard good things!

How's your day been? We're you back at work d today?

OOh I really like those sausages they are free aren't they ? Your tea sounds lovely.

Yeah I was also back today, there's so much temptation in the office with chocolates and biscuits but I managed to resist today!

Your dinner sounds yummy too, and plenty of super free :) or speed should I say now!!

Evenings is usually where I struggle but I have only used 2 syns for gravy today and I have a curly wurly in the fridge so may tuck into that with a cuppa this evening!

Any hints on low syn choc apart from curly wurlys? There always my go to treat on SW but could do with a change!

I love Mint or orange kit Kat's 5.5 syns
