Struggling from the off!
Hi all, firstly sorry if this is not the most appropriate place to post this, just new to this site.
Well, i re-joined SW in December after falling off the wagon and putting nearly all of the weight on i'd lost :( With it being just before Christmas I did struggle a bit and have done ever since! I feel like I got back back 'with it' a few weeks ago and has a couple of good losses which I was happy with.
But this weekend gone I celebrated ALL weekend as it was my birthday but felt confident I'd be back on plan from Monday, but this is not happening. I am worried that I have gone back into old habits and feeling very downbeat about it. I did very well from the start when i joined a few years ago so perhpaps I am putting a bit mush pressure on myself to the same now, even thought I KNOW I can do it.
I guess I just want to know that I am not the only on who has experienced a struggle at the start and if they got through it, as at the moment I feel like i'm out of control and I have no willpower!
Any little tips would be welcome, I am determined to do this again. I AM A STRONG, CONFIDENT WOMAN!!! :D:D:D
Hi Catherine. have you thought about starting A food diary on here? it will help you monitor what you are eating and you can use it to plan ahead. have a look at the food diarys already set up. ppl share great recipes and if you have night out planned, have a read at the thread for flexisyns. It can be tough at times but try and stay positive x
I usually write down my food in a diary, but with such a busy weekend i didn't get round to it, that usually wouldn't put me off plan, it's my willpower that has gone this week. I feel confident I will put it right for next week, I text my consultant for some support and that helped. I am at a house party this weekend but me and my friend (who is joining SW this week) are making loads of SW stuff to eat so we don't over-indulge in the usual buffet foods.
Just want to get weigh-in out the way so I can draw a line under it and move forward.
Yes I know how you feel started trying to lose weight in june last year after my son was born & lost the same 6lb to put it back on the following week over & over again just couldn't stick to it got to January heavier than when I started :( In January though something clicked I joined this forum & it just seems to working this time Ive had a few words with myself & keep reminding myself why I am doing this I want it so bad & nothing is going to stop me I am determined that I will not start another January being overweight!! Im sure you will get back in the right mindset soon else you wouldn't be on here :) Goodluck you can do this :) x
I started in Sept last year and my head wasn't in it at all. I was losing then putting it back on over and over. I kept going to group (most of the time) as it was stopping me going completely crazy with food and ending up 2st heavier. Something finally clicked mid February with me and I'm on it now and doing well.
If I hadn't kept going to group while I got my head together my journey would definitely be starting now in a much worse position.
You'll get there in the end, don't give up xx
Hope you have managed to get back into it this week, we all have days/weeks like that. How did you get on at WI?
I lost half a pound! So was happy with that. Having a better week this week, feeling more motivated now. My next aim is to eliminate 'treat night' after weigh in. Fingers crossed and mouth shut for that :D
