Motivation Tips

Ok having gone past my original target date (was 4lbs off meeting target weight!) I have now lost motivation and have not stuck to plan at all for the last 4 days :(

Having a holiday, with my skinny sister in laws, was a massive incentive and having lost 1st 8lbs before I went I am now undoing it all. I gained 3lbs on holiday and haven't shifted that yet, let alone the further 7lbs I want to lose.

I have no upcoming events that I can use as an incentive & I'm not someone who can stick to plan very willingly.

Just wondered if anyone has any tips for staying on track for the moments we all feel like giving up?

I have clothes that are too tight atm that I keep trying on to motivate me. It's working so far. I want to fit into them again.

Thanks. I tried this too, but was unsuccessful. I just feel fed up when they don't fit, rather than spurred on lol. :-(

I'm struggling in general the last few weeks. 10lbs from target & have completely hit a brick wall :(

Got a party tomorrow night and a birthday meal the weekend after, need to be reeeeeally good & low on syns in the week to try & make an impact.

Got so much going on in my life ATM that SW isn't my priority, but I cry every time I weigh myself still.

Try to be prepared and keep a food diary. I always make sure there's yogurts in fridge and meat I can cook from frozen for those days when I'm too busy to properly cook. I peel and chop sw chips in batches to freeze, shape the burgers and freeze (uncooked) and when I cook some meals I always make extra (most recipes are for 4 and theres only 2 of us and a little un) so I freeze the extras in takeaway containers. I keep my syns for the evenings if I can, that's when I get a sugar craving. 10lbs won't take that long to lose and imagine how pleased you'll feel with yourself once you get there :)

I keep a food diary which does help. My freezer is full of stuff I don't use, need to tackle that.

Take your mind back to how good it felt when the weight was coming off... How great it was to get the compliments and the remarks when people noticed that you had lost weight..., maybe a nice dress or a pair of skinny jeans in the smaller size you want to treat yourself to? You know you can get the losses you want and you know how.... All you have got to do is want it :0). Good luck.

Thanks diamonds, i do miss the compliments!!

Go get em.... You can do it! You have already proved it before... Just do it again :0)

I just bagged up all my baggy, shapeless size 18+ clothes to give to charity because they are now too big. That on its own is motivation for me atm.

I tell all my friends, family and colleagues so they can help keep an eye on me. I know it can get a little annoying when everyone is suddenly hawking you down, but it does help me stay on track.

Good luck!
