    Tillymax is trying again

    Hi
Now this might be a silly time to confess to what I am eating as I have loads of birthdays coming up in the next fortnight. But at least if I do stray over to the dark side sometimes (cake, chocolates etc), it will be better than living there all the time.

I have tried to look at why I eat the way I do and don't know what the answer is. I eat when I am happy and sad. I eat all the time actually which explains how I got this big. I don't like feeling hungry. Unfortunately I can't hear my body telling me I'm full yet - but I will get better at that.

I lost two stones with SW up to Christmas but since then I have been an idiot. I keep putting on and taking off the same 7lbs.

I have always been fat so can't imagine myself being thin. I did lose 3 stone following Rosemary Conley in 2005/2006 but I put that, and more, back on. Why am I so stupid?

This week I lost 2lb which makes me 18st 5lb. In the hope that I don't do my usual thing of stuffing my face after a loss I am going to keep a diary on here. I think if I know that people are watching it will keep me focused.

I have been stalking on here for quite a while and love the help and support you all give each other. Please feel free to let me know if I do anything wrong. I am doing this alone so really need all your help. When I say alone, I actually have SW online but it still feels like doing it alone.

I am going to do EE today. I don't usually do EE so may go wrong big style. I tend to lose better on red days but I hope to mix things up more this time as I need to be able to do this forever.

Br pancakes (5 syns) strawberries and bananas - I don't normally have pancakes but I tried the syn free pancake the other day and it made me crave a real one. The syns came from 110g/4oz plain flour (20 syns) and 200ml/7floz semi milk (5 syns). I made 10 and had 2 so 5 syns. I hope I worked the syns out correctly.
Din baked potato, cottage cheese, sweetcorn and loads of salad.
    Tea Might have BLT (heb)
    hea in milk for coffees

Hi Tillymax, Welcome to the forum.
Firstly let me say that you have made a good choice at coming on here as there is such a great wealth of experience and friendship that I, personally, have found incredible!

As to your question about the "feeling full" aspect, I found great help in listening to the Paul McKennea CD on "I can Make You Thin". Not only did it help in relaxing about losing the weight but also more importantly, on how to eat more slowly and thereby enjoy every morsel which in turn helps in being able to judge when I am full.

As for the being an idiot - we all have our times when we resort to having a bit more than a treat and even an occasional binge! That's just being human .... unfortunately.. As you will note by my Ticker I have been dithering over the same few pounds since Xmas..Nuff said about that!

So well done in starting up your diary, look forward to seeing you progress and wish you all the very best...

Thanks for replying. I feel so much more positive now that you have.

I remember watching the Paul McKenna programmes when they were on a few years back. You had to put your knife and fork down between each mouthfull and chew at least 20 times. I did do that when I lost weight on RC and it does help you get used to listening to your body. Thanks for reminding me about that - I will give it another go.

You have chosen the right place to come. This site is so lovely and supportive I was falling off the wagon all the time. Still have blips but this time I am drawing a line under each blip immediately and continuing on plan limiting the damage.

I shall be digging out my Paul McKenna Cd if I can find it as forgot I had it.

    Goodluck xxxx

    Thanks for the support.

I feel that I can achieve my goals with all you lovely lot backing me.

Well today has been good - unless I've missed something.

I did have BLT for tea. I split my hea and had half milk and half cheese.
Snacks have been grapes and strawberries and a shape zero yogurt.

I may melt a couple of pieces of chocolate later and dip strawberries into it think it will be about 3.5 syns so that should bring my total so far to 8.5. Hopefully I can stay at that for today just in case I've miss counted somewhere.

Feeling absolutely wonderful - long may it last

    Good Morning

Well I think yesterday went well. I am still feeling brilliant.

    Todays plan

    pancakes (5) strawberries banana

baked potato cottage cheese sweetcorn and salad

ready meal (5) and lots og veg

    milk (A)

    snacks strawberries grapes yogurts

don't know what to have my B on yet

I don't know if my positive mood is because I feel good about sw or because I've got 2 weeks off work. Well whatever the reason I hope this feeling stays.

I'm gonna go and get the house cleaned then do an exercise dvd. It might only be for 10 mins but you have to start somewhere.

Have a good day everybody xx

All sounding very positive today Enjoy the exercise DVD. 10 mins is a good start I plan to do at least 10 mins today on my treadmill. I am determined to use it each day, rather than it end up being a clothes hanger. mmmmmm pancakes now that sounds yummy

Oooh Visitors thanks for dropping in. It makes it much less tempting to eat things I shouldn't when I know people are watching me on here. It's like you're all coming to the biscuit tin with me.

Jackie - I've got an exercise bike that's turned into a clothes horse.

I did 25 mins of the dvd. I was probably only moving for about 10 mins though. The rest of the time I was staring open mouthed at the telly wondering how to get my legs into that position

Then after that I cleaned the house so that should have burned a few more calories. You can't tell I've done anything now though - it's amazing what a mess 2 teenagers and a hubbie make.

I've been checking through the recipes on here and some from the SW site and have seen loads that I want to try. The only problem is I want to try them all at once - dont think that's the idea of SW though.

I'll pop back in a bit and put my plan on for tomorrow. It's my mums birthday tomorrow so I must try hard to stay on plan. On Thursday it's my daughters 16th birthday so that one will be harder as all the yummy (bad) food will be in the house making the temptation bigger. I can do it and I will do it. Then the week after it's my birthday. But as I've seen on this site anything eaten on your birthday is syn free .

I am impressed 25 mins I managed about 6 mins on my treadmill, but better than nothing, and so far no clothes are hanging on it!

I love some of the recipes on here.I print them off and pop them in a folder so I can flick through and make something when fancy something nice.

I have two teenagers here. Two boys 18 and 14 and a little girl who is 7. My house is always a tip, they dump everything everywhere

Make sure you have lots of yummy low syn snacks ready for you for your daughters birthday. I also ensure I have filling meals on days like that so I don't fancy snacking

Ha ha if you could have seen me you wouldn't have been impressed. I have two left feet and am also incappable of moving my legs and arms at the same time. It was a dance dvd and the time flew by. I bet it would be a giggle with a few people but hell will freeze over before I let anyone see me exercise.

I still need to have my heb for today so I will probably have some toast with 2 syns worth of jam. I also had some cheese melted over my veg for tea so I will add 3 syns for the milk for my 3 coffees. That brings my total syns for today to 15.

I'm going to take your advice Jackie and have a big breakfast. I'm seeing my mum tomorrow morning cos she's working lates so I'm hoping I won't want anything when she starts rolling out the goodies. I will take some fruit in my bag just incase.

So tomorrow should look something like this -

big bowl of fruit followed by
2 light sausage (2 syns) beans mushrooms and egg

    ham salad tcake (heb)

shepherds pie (1 syn) gravy (2.5 syns) loads of veg

snacks will be strawberries banana pear yogurts

hea will be split between milk and cheese

That makes 5.5 syns which leaves lots of room or if I slip up And if I don't slip up I can melt a couple of pieces of chocolate and dip strawberries in - that was so yummy.

Todays plan has changed to this

    big bowl of fruit
2 butchers choice half fat sausages (5 syns) beans mushrooms
braised beef cabbage peas new potatoes gravy (2.5 syns)
glass of fresh orange - don't know how many syns

For tea I think I will have the ham salad sandwich I was going to have for lunch. My hea will be split between milk and cheese.

I won't have anymore syns today (hopefully) just in case there is anything I've missed.

Feeling pretty good as I only went for the heaalthy stuff at mums. I resisted the chocolates, cake and Baileys

I've had a 25 minute walk and later on I hope to get chance to do another dvd - well a bit of it.

I will pop back later and put tomorrows plan on - after I've finished planning it.

I ended up having the ham salad sandwich for tea. I didn't split my hea I just used it all on milk. My 1/3 superfree at lunch was just the cabbage - thank goodness hubbies at work and the kids have gone out!

I've been snacking on strawberries today and have got a yogurt in the freezer which I'm gonna have in a bit.

I did about 15 mins of a different dvd - it was an exercise one rather than a dance one. Thought I was gonna die at one point. I watched embarrassing bodies the other week - the one with the saggy skin. It's certainly made me move more cos I'm scared I'm gonna end up like that.

My plan for tomorrow is -
weetabix (B) and milk (A) and banana
    ham salad
lasagne (abt 3 syns) and salad
snacks strawberries, pear, and hopefully I'll have some syns spare for a curly wurly (6)

I'm gonna start doing the food in the colour of whatever day I am on. Thought this might make it easier if I need to check back ever.

Clair - how did the quiche turn out and what did you put in it?
