Krazi's Weightloss Journey- The Slimming World Route

    Hi Everybody,

I am going to be starting SW tomorrow evening, I never been to a group meeting for weightloss, so I am a little nervous about it, but at the same time I feel excited to get on board!!
I don't know too much about the way SW works, so hoping I will get lots of info about it at my meeting tomorrow, all I know is the little bits and pieces that I have picked up from you lully lot on here...but I may be piecing my SW puzzle all the wrong way, so I am trying not to think too hard until I got the info from group!

I would like to lose about 38lb, and I know this could take me a while but I will be patient...the only diet I have ever done in the past is the Cambridge Diet and although I do lose lots and do it fast ( I was 199lb at my heaviest) I want to now do it a far healthier way, and don't want my children to even realise I am on a diet as they will be eating what I will be eating (instead of feeling isolated with my shakes/bars) ...I was contemplating WW and after Much deliberation (internet searches/word of mouth) I decided that SW seemed to be the best of the both as I do not want to be counting points all day, or end up chosing unhealthy options over healthier ones which I heard WW can end up making you do as you feel more deprived?!

Anyway, I have waffled on enough and I haven't even started my SW journey yet .....I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you can support me through my journey the way I see you all support each other and I, in return will do my best to support you all right back

    Krazi xxx

Feeling like I am never going to get the hang of all these different days...Green/Red/EE...I ain't got a clue how any of them work, just hoping the place ain't packed out tomorrow and I get to have a chat about how to do this plan!
How do they inform newbies about the plan if they got a room full of regulars? Surely all the regualrs don't want to be hearing the same stuff week in and week out...God...feeling anxious! :/

Bless you - It was daunting for me when I first joined but at my first meeting I was made to feel welcome & everyone was so friendly. After the intimate meeting with the other new members & your consultant she will introduce to rest of group

You'll be fine, your consultant will sit with you and go through everything and you can ask all the questions you want, then you can sit and observe the meeting and you'll see how much support you'll get from going to group. Slimming world isn't really I diet its a way of life, I never feel hungry when I'm on plan and you'll be amazed at how easily you'll lose weight. Good luck for tomorrow x

Well, I went along to my first ever SW meeting......

    Come back feeling very positive

The consultant was lovely and all the slimmers were very nice, found out lots more about the SW plans and have decided to start with the EE plan, just because it does seem more simple and also I can feed my family the same and get them healthy too aswell as not making myself feel isolated by eating completely different breakfast/lunch/and dinners as them all

I have got to remember to fill in my food diary, hoping this wont slip my mind...but looking forward to all the FREE foods, still confused as to how weight is lost with all that food not going to grumble about it though

Anyway, I went to the 5.30pm meeting as my DP came home early from work, and as I said they were a lovely bunch of people and made me feel welcome, but they were all alot older then me, therefore I think I may hold out to the 7.30pm meeting next time as when I was leaving my group session, the slimmers for the next meeting were arriving and they seem more my age (I hope that doesn't make me sound shallow, I really am not like that).

Feeling in a good mood and feeling like I can take on the world to battle this bulge...just registered with the SW online too, with my card number and pin that I got from group tonight, so going to have a look on there in a min (if I can tear myself away from MiniMins).

I hope you are all doing well and keeping on track...any hints and tips for my 1st week most appreciated

My advice for the first week would be to definetly keep your food diary up to date, drink plenty, read the plan, remember to eat lots of superfree foods and make sure you eat lots - you'll be amazed how much weight you can lose even when you feel you've eaten like a pig!! Good luck x x

I bought the extra easy cookbook too, and it has some lovely recipes in there, which makes me glad I chose the EE plan.

    Heya Everyone!

I know it has been a few days since I have been online, but it has been a very busy few days with lots going on and lots of visitors, but pleased to announce that I did stay on track =)

Well I have done 5days on SW EE plan and I got to say...wowzer, it doesn't even feel as though I am on a diet, I am LOVING the recipes in the cookbook I bought from group and so far have cooked 3 meals from it.

    My 5 day food Diary:

    Wednesday
Breakfast - 2 weetabix with Milk from allowance (Hex a&b)
Lunch - Pasta with egg (2tbsp salad cream 5syns) and a side salad with lots of superfree
Dinner - Steamed Pollock with egg fried rice (homemade/healthy) and more Sfree veg
Dessert - sugarfree Jelly (1/2 syn)
    Total syns 5 1/2

    Thursday:
Breakfast - 2 weetabix with milk (Hex a&b)
Lunch - Big Jacket potato with lots of beans and a little cheese (6 syns) and a Sfree side salad
Dinner - Recipe from cookbook - 'Spicy Chicken,Spinach & Potato Curry' (delicious and syn free)
Snacks - 2x Muller lights and Sfree Fruit
    Total syns - 6

    Friday:
Breakfast - 2 weetabix with milk (hex a&b)
Lunch - Eggy Pasta with a little salad cream (4 1/2 syns) and lots of Sfree salad
Dinner - recipe from cookbook - 'Rich Beef Stew With Mustard Mash' syn free and yummy
Snacks - muller light and Sfree fruit
    Extra Milk for Coffee
    Total syns - 5 1.2

    Saturday:
Breakfast - 2 weetabix with milk (Hex a&b)
Lunch - eggy pasta with salad cream (4 1/2 syns) with Sfree side salad
Dinner - Chicken Kebab from takeaway (I had company over who wanted fish and chips, I had NO CHIPS and NO MAYO, just chicken and the salad, I threw away the pitta) I am not sure if they marinated the chicken DP thinks they didn't so I haven't syned for this
Snacks - 2xMullerlights, 2 small slices of french stick with butter (4 syns)
    Extra milk for coffee (2syns)
    Total syns - 10 1/2

    Sunday:
Breakfast - 2 weetabix with milk (Hex a&b)
Dinner - Recipe from cookbook - 'Singapor Noodles' Yummalicios and again syn free
Tea - a little more singapor noodles (made lots so have leftovers)
    Snacks - Sfree fruit
Extras - 3x cappuchinos (got to figure out the syn values of these, help would be appreciated, they have 70cals and 1.3g fat) they come in sachets.
    Total syns approx - 9??

Well at the moment I love this diet/life plan ...I am enjoying cooking and my family have enjoyed it too, my DP is loving the recipes (and my guest today loved the meal I cooked and was surprised it was fat free)I am letting DP choose in the book what to have for dinner....he is eating what I am eating as he needs to lose weight too, hopefully it is working for the both of us at the same time...I honestly can't see how I can lose weight with eating all this food, but I feel very satisfied and not deprived at all, I don't feel tempted to eat anything 'bad' for me as I am loving the healthy way of life, but I know I can have a little something 'naughty' if I choose to!
I guess only time will tell if I have lost weight, only another 2days really...got my weigh in Tuesday evening!

I hope you are all doing well

    xKx
