This is my first attempt at SW. I was a total non believer when my friend started...........She made such a great start with the plan but gave it up when Too much stress got in the way. A few weeks later she wanted to return to the plan and seeing she had all the books and knowledge, she didn't feel the need for the classes. All she needed was some support so guess who was roped in............Yep.....ME!!
With a busy lifestyle looking after my eldest daughter who is Autistic and my new baby who is nearly 3 months, classes were out of the question for me, so she took it upon herself to teach me the ways of Slimming world and still I wasn't sure
I weighed myself for the first time since having my baby and was shocked to see that I pretty much weighed the same as I did when I was 40 weeks pregnant.......Thats not good.
15st 10lbs
Something had to change

So I have thrown myself into the world of red and green days
With not a lot of faith I weighed myself after my first week and discovered I had indeed lost weight

7lbs...............WOW
I was well chuffed and thought 'Maybe there is something to this after all'
I went for it again during week two.

1lb loss............a bit disappointing after such a large loss the week before but a loss is a loss so onwards and upwards

So here I stand after just 2 weeks, 8lbs lighter and hopefully on the journey to a lighter brighter me !!

And my friend............Well she's dropped out again but she made a believer out of me so I'm here to stay

15ST 2LBS

My first target is a nice simple small one
to be 14 stone something.............sooner rather than later:p

Oh well done you. Have you tried extra easy. It is sooo easy and fits in brilliantly with having kids.xx

I did have a look at it Lucy but the concept alludes me...... I don't think I eat enough fruit and veg to cover the superfree requirement at breakfast.

I do enjoy my fruits and veg but maybe not enough lol

I do find certain things difficult as I'm not a Yoghurt eater and originally I thought that was all a Slimming world participant ate lol

I'm definitely eating more now than I ever have before (good healthy stuff that it............oh and breakfast, I've never eaten breakfast so often before, used to be a rare occasion)

Food today

Breakfast:
Banana (Baby Caitlin demanded too much attention)

Lunch:
Red peppers, Tomatoes, Spring Onions, 2 Boiled eggs, lettuce and Dairylea (HEX a).....Oh and some Light thousand Island dressing (so need to find out how many syns that is....though there wasn't that much....just a smidge)

Dinner:
Mash Potatoes, Dalepak Vegetable Grills (request for syn value posted) and various Veg

Dessert:
Sugar free Jelly (0.5 syns)

Depending on the dressing and the grills, this could be quite a low syn day

Request for Dalepak vegetable grills came back

5.5 syns each............I can live with that

Been looking through the PDF files my mate sent me with all the HEX a & b and the green and red HEXs and I think they might be out of date

28g for chedder cheese ?..............I thought I saw somewhere that its 30g.....hey those 2g could mean the difference between hunger pangs and a full belly

Damn, I wonder what else is out of date ?

dinner tonight was lush....I'm definitely doing more real cooking now opposed to grabbing something from the freezer n bunging it in the oven
had the Dalepak grills with mashed pots, broccoli, sweetcorn n peas.....don't think i've ever eaten so much veg !!!
had a yummy tesco light mousse (4 syns I think) for dessert n I've just used up my HEX bs on a bacon sarnie which was gorgeous.
RED day tomorrow..........chicken fillets stuffed with cheese n wrapped in bacon....mmmmmmmmmmmm

Its shopping day
List all made, meals (sort of) planned........depending on whether I get all the ingredients

Breakfast:
A banana.....so far lol

Went shopping and decided to have a go at some of these meatfree products.
Got some quorn sausages, Linda McCartney rosemary and onion sausages oh and some ASDA Meatfree Lincolnshire Sausages
I see a pattern forming here..............god I hope at least one of them is nice lol
Also got some ASDA meatfree Mince (which they tell me if FREE) and some ASDA Meatfree Burgers
Need to find out the syn values for all these things before I start scoffing them lol

Oh and apparently weetabix Chocolate Oaty bars = 1 hex b.............I am so keeping one of those in my daughter's nappy bag for when I get caught out and about.............I've only had a Banana all day.....Roll on dinner time

Well I definitely made up for food come dinner time yesterday
Skinless Chicken breast fillet wrapped in bacon and primula Light (used as my Hex A) with New potatoes (Hex B) and Broccoli.........It was gorgeous, well it must have been coz when I told my fella what was for dinner, he MISSED rugby training for it lol....bless him

Tried some of the oaty weetabix bar and have to say I prefer the Light Alpen Choc n Orange ones but they weren't horrid so thats a plus lol

Synned my nimble bread when I decided to have a sarnie (chicken) around tea time (Had to coz I used my HEX B to try chocolate weetabix.....which a friend said was hexb and 2 syns......so not worth it, was a bit yuck)

Did eat a spiced cupcake (homemade) so no idea how many syns but i'm sure once in awhile wont kill me

Been up since 6.30 with the baby so already I have had my brekkie, 2 boiled eggs and 2 slices of wholemeal nimble bread............banana next

Stupid wii fit told me I had gained 2lbs since wednesday..............I knew I shouldn't have weighed myself midweek blub :(

Just had my first mugshot
tomato and herbs and it was bloody lovely..........I could definitely do that again

Tried my first Quorn sausages and in a casserole they are actually so much nicer than normal sausages........... I really did enjoy them.

Been munching on Chicken chunks all day..........I would have soooooo eaten chocolate if I hadn't munched on them instead

Tried Tesco Finest Chocolate tea and it was hideous......Really gross

I've never been brave enough to try quorn sausages, or actually anything quorn as the thought of it puts me off. I might have to be brave and try it.

I'm having steak, sw chips and salad and mushrooms for tea.yum. Can't wait.xx

Speccy I love the fact that you are trying new things!!!
Never heard of chocolate tea before, we are obviously NOT missing much in Ireland! lol
I too am doing the EE plan and I have to say I LOVE IT!!! I might try Red and Original days when I get tired of EE but in fairness I don't think that will happen...

Good luck with your plan and well done on your loss xx

If you don't mind I would love to follow your SUCCESS diet!!

Oops, forgot to check that I will get email notifications on this thread so just posting this to make sure that I do get them....

You really should give it a go Lucy, I was a skeptic but thought 'What have I got to lose ?' at the very least our West highland Fizz would have had a great dinner lol

Apparently the best way to cook mince is to soak it in the sauce over night before you cook it......I've got a bag in the freezer so I'll let you know how I get on

Hey babe I'd love to have you follow my diet, maybe we can share our secrets and successes....I'd like that.

I'm currently doing red and green days.....Only because I don't eat enough superfree stuff for brekkie and lunch.....I'm more of a Green day person but my fella loves meat..........hence the Quorn....I swapped it tonight and he didn't even notice lol

I'm hoping that my new healthy eating will be a good starting point and influence for my new baby who will be weaning soon.......My eldest is 11 this summer and Autistic so for her its the same meal every night, the same plate, same seat...... I felt we were living like that. Open freezer, pick something quick and chuck it in the oven.....30 mins later....done...........full of shitty fat and just makes you bloated and sleepy.

You really aren't missing much with this chocolate tea stuff..... I LOVE chocolate and with all the easter eggs around I feel I am being teased on a daily basis but I'm tell ya.....This stuff was YUCKY YUCK

Good luck with your weight loss journey:D

Used the colemans Season and shake Sausage and Herb Casserole (6.5 syns) for dinner tonight. I used Quorn sausages (free) and added Peppers, Potatoes (HEX B), Onions and Carrots. It was gorgeous and as I shared the casserole with my other half, I only had half the syns

So thats 2 boiled eggs and Wholemeal Nimble bread (hex b) for breakfast
Banana
A tomato and Herb mugshot for Lunch
and the casserole for dinner

Now I am off to the kitchen for some choc philly and rich tea fingers (4.5 syns for 30 g and 1 syn per biscuit)
Well it is friday after all...........what's life without a few norty treats here and there (still within Syns of course)

Well done for sticking with it when your friend dropped out, hope you enjoyed your Philly, it's amazing isn't it??? I wasnt sure before I tried it but now I'm hooked!!

Keep it up! Saz xxxx

OMG yes............I was always against Philly of all sorts but I have tried, in recent days, the chives, the garlic and herb and the CHOCOLATE one
Still have grilled peppers to try

Got them on offer in tesco, iceland and asda......don't mind trying something new when its cheaper

Off to Wembley today to see Disney on Ice : Princesses and Heroes......... One banana in my belly and 2 alpen light choc n Orange (hex b) to nibble during intermission...........NO WAY am I buying food there, costs a bloody fortune

Oh and Chocolate philly, slightly melted with rich tea fingers dunked in it is very similar to those chocolate dipper things we ate as kids (in a blue tub with biscuit fingers) Yum
