Ok this is my first page of my new life! I have been trying to lose weight for 20 years and keep trying and failing I love reading lots of diary's and thought it might actually help me. So here I am - I am starting a new job later in the year which will mean me going and meeting suppliers and don't want to feel fat and out of control I have at least 10 stone to lose probably even more but I will be happy with that and realise that its not going to happen overnight but really want to start taking control and making some steps to correct this mess I have created.

steps to start

Make lunch each day for work
Stick to slimming world one day at a time
drink 2 litres of water a day

wish me luck
:flirt2:

Good luck! One day at a time as in your goals is the right way to do it x you'll do great x

Hi Picklebud.
Welcome to SW and this forum, if you need any help or advice then remember we are all here for the same reason! You can find a recipe for almost any type of food that you like so don't worry about missing your favourite food.
Sticking to plan is a guaranteed way to loosing weight, be it fast or slow. Enjoy and good luck!
Pete

:welcome2: and good luck.

I too have got to lose 10 stone maybe slightly more. But I'm 1stone 4lb down and looking forward to the big picture.x

Hi,

I have started this week too... Have done a couple of days, and feeling very enthusiastic at the moment, largely just because I've taken the decision to take control of things!

Stick with it and hopefully we will be able to share our successes on here as the weeks and months go by!!

Nel x

Hi all thanks for welcoming me, Pete I often look at your pics you are an inspiration you really are.

Been on track apart from today we had a free lunch of sausage and mash at work that was organised before I decided to start to I did divulge but i brought some salad from home so hope that has made it a ee? ish

to be honest i have not menu planned just been eating old school what used to work when i did this before, tonight i had roast chicken salad.

I am going to go and write a menu down and plan properly for EE it is hard to get going I may have to join a class I think I find it really difficult on my own.

Its nice to know that you are all out there and its not just me struggling!

:cry:I had a burger tonight actually i had 3 ! hubby said I am having a bad day and want a big fat tea so no arguments from me I went ahead and made burgers and managed 3 why do i do it to myself i have all hte reasons at the moment to get sorted and stay on track but no burgers here I come

am feeling carp and am going to bed now I am going to start AGAIN tomorrow i really have to do this I am super obese and its not healthy i cant pick things up of the floor and put my shoes and socks on comfortable so why the hell do i eat rubbish

First of all, I have over 10 stone to lose as well, and it's going to be a long and hard process, but just think, IT WILL BE WORTH IT! :D Not just so you feel great, but for our health as well!

Secondly, you can still have burger and chips, just make your own burgers! There are loads of recipes on here and on the Slimming World website, I'm sure if you look around there are quite a few different ones for making your own burgers! Have slimming world chips with them and bobs your uncle! (If you don't know what slimming world chips are, let me know! xD)

Tomorrow is a new day, and a new start, so good luck for the week ahead! We're all here for help and support! :) xxx

Agree as above. We had burgers the other night and I had 4 but they weremadewith the sw recipe from the extra easy book. And they are lovely. It is daunting when we have sooooooooooo much weight to lose. But it's just going to take us longer to get there and we willgetthere.x

thanks lucy and gcbaby i have had a good couple of days going shopping tonight and going to get planned. I have been doing lots of walking today so getting some good excercise. Thank you for your support its nice to know its not just me out there struggling

We're all here for the same reason at the end of the day, you'll find lots of support and help on this forum, it's fab! :) x

Hi Picklepud, I love your name! Are you going to a group? The right group can be a big support. You haven't failed if you haven't given up. xx

Hiya littlemissslim Yes i am going to class tuesday nights consultant is really lovely.

I had a great week last week first week doing it properly and lost 8.5lb so that was amazing. It was my birthday yesterday and we went out for thai lunch with work and then indian in the evening with family and managed to drink 3 bottles of wine between 3 of us! but I wanted to enjoy it and I did so quite happy with it. been back on track today with
cottage cheese and 6 wholewheat crackerbreads for breakfast
yogurt and apple for snack
spagbol with lots of free veg for tea
mothers day tomorrow

ww sausages
egg mushrooms
bacon and tomatoe for breakfast

DD will cook dinner for me
carrot and coriander soup to start,
stuffed chicken breast with low low (from sw website) new potatoes and asparagus and cauli (to get the extra veg in )
and then merangie (sp?) nest with fresh fruit and light squirty cream
also have a bottle of rose in the fridge but will just have one glass so i will be happy with that. just looking at this written down and dont have any hxb's so will have a think about that for tomorrow.

feeling very positive and hope that I will have a sts this week which will be great for birthday/mothers day week

been drinking lots of green tea too as an alternative to my coffee (still drinking coffee but not as much )so that is another healthier change

So you've got 2 days after Mothers day to get back on track before your weigh in!:scale:
If you swapped the squirty cream for ff yogurt, then each merringue is 3 syns, large glass of wine is 9 syns,:party0036: but if you make it into a spritzer with diet lemonade, it makes it go further!
Only 12 syns!

Go mad on the superfree for the next 2 days, and you might even have a loss!
Will there be any soup left? That's good for filling you up.
You've got a lovely daughter cooking a SW meal for you!
I drink green tea as well, but have the one with lemon in, tastes a bit better!

cant sleep.... so thought I would write ended up having a good day ds bought me some lindor chocs so had one of those too aim to have one a day? for a treat. only had one glass of wine like planned and small bit of squirty cream and it was the light one so dont think i went over syns for the day which is good.

still feeling in the right frame of mind so am back on track for tomorrow breakfast and lunch will be fine cereal and left over soup and chicken salad for lunch with some fruit. for tea not sure ... i have some salmon so may have that or some mince but its lean and realised that I should be using extra lean!!! but was planning on making a keema curry have a recipe of slimming eats that have used before. so will work out syn value for lean mince and use not wasting it... so plan for the week
