Hi, everyone, I’m a newbie here although I’ve been lurkingfor a year on and off! I’ve finally got the courage to join in, mostly becauseI need the motivation to keep me on track and I love the support everyone on heregives each other. I’ll be doing all Slimming World green days, as I’ve been aveggie since I was 10.
I started SW group about a year and a half ago after havingDS1 (now a terrible 2) and was on course to reach target but then fell pregnantwith DS2. He’s now 6 months old and it seems the right time to get going again!
I’ll be following SW at home for the moment but I haven’truled out going back to a group to keep me on the straight and narrow. I have atendency to ‘treat’ (cheat?) myself and then say ‘sod it’ and go off plans for a fewdays at a time  I’ve been reading other SW diaries for inspiration and reallyadmire the way so many of you can fall off the wagon, draw a line under it andget on with it! Its things like this I’d love your help with; any advice appreciated! :)

So, the plan for today is to make up a rough menu plan for the next day or two and do a shop for esentials. I have nothing much coming up this week that should provide temptation to go off plan, although tbh I don't really need any...

Rough plan for tomorrow:

2x weetabix, milk, fruit salad (not keen on weetabix but quick and easy as we'll have to be on the go early tomorow).

alpen light, banana mid morning (got driving lesson over lunchtime)

defrost a batch of 3 bean chilli for lunch afterwards (free)

sausage and mash with veg

1 hea and 1.5 heb so far and no syns, so plenty to play with in the evening which is when I'd tend to snack.

Prepped a few things for tomorrow when baby was sleeping(rare event); fruit salad (kiwi, apricots and grapes) and some carrot sticks.Got my shopping in and have a few ideas for mid-week meals, I’ll decide exactlywhat we’re having nearer the time! I will pop them down here so I can referback later, when I inevitably forget them.

Pasta Bolognese (free)
Quorn steak, sw chips, mushy peas (free)
Big mushrooms with marinated and grilled halloumi in wm roll, salad (heb x2?)
SW curry and rice with hm raita (free)
Bangers and mash with either onion gravy or beans (synnagedepends on what veg sausages are in the freezer!).

Good morning! Here's hoping it's a good day today!

So, I've weighed in this morning at..... 9st 12lbs.

When I first started sw I was 12st 6lb so I'm getting there slowly- getting pregnant didn't help the weight loss lol.

My aim is to get my club 10, I wouldn't want to go much lower as I think I would find it harder to maintain, and i do love my food! Incidentally I'm only 2lbs off my original target weight when I went to group. I'm trying to be realistic and aim for slow but steady losses of 0.5-1lb per week; i'm not going to set the world alight with that but I find as you get closer to target your losses do slow a bit so this will stop me getting too disheartened.

Wish me luck for today!

It's good you are looking at losing a smaller amount a week. There are a lot of people on here that weight about the same as you and then wonder why they don't lose much at a time. It's better to aim low and then be happy at losing more if you do lose more :)

Hi Ally, thanks for taking a look; that's the plan, i don't want to put myself off before i've even started! Before i would've lost 1.5-2.5lb a week but that slowed as the weight came off. I think this way's a bit more realistic and hopefully i won't fall off the wagon because i feel i'm getting nowhere! Half a pound off is better off than on ;).

This is what today's looking like so far. Evenings are my danger time so i've some syns and snacks planned to fight off the munchies!

Weetabix and skim milk, fruit salad
Alpen light bar (3 syns), banana
Bit of m&s viennese finger (shared with 2 yr old, i lost thefight and got the smaller half so 2 syns?)

Choc options 2 syns (to appease the choc monster)
Cherry toms, babybel, 2 slices wm bread, 1x dairylea triangle
Rest of hea for tea etc
HEAx2 HEBx2
14 syns planned

First day and 100%, pleased with that!

Hoping to get a few walks in today as well, saying as the weather here is looking much better!

Aims for this week:
Do a bit more exercise, more walks with the kids and maybedust off the wii fit.
Instead of automatically reaching for a ‘foodie’ treatsmaybe have a bath or paint my nails rather than rewarding myself with food(like you would a well behaved dog lol).
Stick with plan 100%.

Presume you are unsure of the syns on the cereal bar? What cereal bar was it?

Fibre plus bar, not sure what they are as usually have them for my hexb for a choc fix! If it's too high i'll stick to an alpen light. Had a bit of a doh moment there when i realised that the activia yogurt i had with breakfast was not fat free! Argh and now my fridge is full of them cos they were on offer at tesco, just as well i realised. I wondered why it tasted so much nicer :p

Fibre plus are 6 or 1 HEb :) haha, i've done that before with the yogurts, but I tend to stick to Weightwatchers and mullers, know they are free haha

If i have activia i gave the snackpots, strawberry, vanilla, mango, raspberry are free in them and peach, summer fruit crumble (limited edition) and banoffee (limited edition) are 1 each. I love the banoffee one.

Days menu updated;

Lunch- chickpea dahl and rice (free)

Banana, mango, shape 0% yogurt (pretty sure this is free??)
Hebx2 dinner- flat mushrooms gilled topped with grilledhalloumi in wm bun served with
Green/runner bean andcherry tomato salad and sw wedges, this dinner was yummy! Prob about 50g ofhalloumi so heb x 1.5. Haven’t used my extra hex today so that should cover it.Haven’t used my extra one from y’day either come to think of it.
Lunch was lovely too, felt like a Friday night takeaway butfree free free!!!

Went for another walk this evening, 4 miles ish at areasonable pace. Went along the canal towpath near our home, hadn’t been downthere before, beautiful and so quiet as well. Might consider jogging along therewhen i get my fittness levels up, quiet enough that no-one will see me!
Little treat-

meringue nest (2.5 syns), strawberries and melted pot of philly choc (4.5 syns) poured over. YUM :D

30g rf cheese (rest hea)

TODAY
13 syns
2 hea- 350 mlskim milk, 1 dairylea and 30g rf cheese to make up 1 hea
2.5 heb- wm roll, 50g halloumi

another day at 100%!

banoffee and fruit crumble ones sound lovely, i'll have to keep an eye out for them. Shop's over here seem to get everything months after the mainland, only just tracked down cherry bakewell alpens! Might have to get some snackpots tomorrow in the shopping then, good idea! Off to have my choccy philly....mmmmm

I cant get the cherry alpen anywhere still, even our stupidly oversized tesco hasn't got them

Had a busy morning so only getting to update now. It’sgorgeous out today, so nice to see something that resembles the summer!
Today’s food so far:

2 weetabix (heb) and skim milk (part hea, rest for tea),strawberries.
An extremely squished alpen light bar from the bottom of myhandbag (3 syns), half a banana stolen from ds1 :p. Activia ff yogurt.
Twice baked jacket potatoes (micro jackets and scoop outmiddle, mashed with quark, salt, pepper, dried chilli and lots of scallions!Topped with 1/3 cheese from allowance and baked in oven) with leftover greenbean salad and dhal. Hoping this will be nice, it’s just baking now.

Dinner tonight will be spag bol; will make an extra largeportion so I can have some for lunch tomorrow/freeze some.
I want to save some syns for tonight when watching the apprentice, not sure what I fancy yet though.

Everything else as above.

Constantly snacked all evening....

I just updated my profile with my original joining weight for sw back in Oct 2010. Can't believe i've now lost 20% of my body weight from that point, and managed to have a baby in between! I think I'll keep that up there as a reminder of how far i've come.

All my meals have been a few hours behind today lol, just finished my lunch! Not sure exactly what I'll have this evening but it will be quick and random probably. Heading out to do a bit of shopping which will inevitably mean starbucks. Planning on a skinny latte using my hea and maybe a ginger snap cos they're low in syns and I couldn't possibly not have anything ;)

How today's looking:

B/F alpen light bar 1/2 heb, ff activia, banana.

lunch- 2 large flat mushrooms filled with leftover bolognese and topped with melted cheese. 2 oranges.

coffee with milk from allowance and fibre plus bar for a choc hit!

Tonight (plan)-

starbucks- skinny latte (hea) ginger snap (6 syns per pkt, prob only have one)

ff supernoodles, bbq baked beans, quorn sausages (2 syns)

gu mousse (10 syns)

hea- 3
heb- 1.5 (instead of synning alpen light bar used as pat heb)

15 syns for the day. And 100% on plan again :D

slice wm bread, carrot and apple

Lunch will be beetroot, carrot and apple salad, jacket potato, quorn sausage?, chery toms 1 syn
Real brain drain and can't think what to make that's why I haven't had it yet!

Dinner- quorn peppered steak, sw chips, mushy peas, sw coleslaw .5 syn, wm roll, babybel. coke zero.

Made syn free cheese scones, put a chilli pepper in them and they turned out lovely, i'll be making these again! Pop one in my mouth everytime i walk past.

had one kitkat choc pop .5 syn and apple and cinnamon scone with lf spread, shared with oh.
Only used 2 syns so the rest should cover the scone, i hope!

hea- 2 (some milk for tea, had one babybel light and a bit of rf cheese on top of cheese scones so prob another hea together)
heb- 1.5 (1 slice wm bread, wm roll)

Syns- 15 today

No exercise today, we just hung out in the garden and enjoyed the nice weather! BBQ tomorrow at in-laws so will have to try and plan for that.
