Slim by Graduation.... Or Else :)

Hi everyone :)

Tomorrow is my second weigh-in and I am starting to feel a little nervous so I thought I'd start a log of my weight, my feelings any successes and any failures so I can look back and keep myself motivated and I decided to share it with you all too :)

I started Uni just over 3 years ago now. I was confident, happy and a size 8/10, I weighed in at around 9 Stone 10.
Its now my final year and the pounds have crept on, it started of slow and I hardly noticed, then I met my boyfriend and the weight gain increased but we were happy so I put it down to being content, but it recently started to really get to me, I can't shop in a lot of places, I no longer feel attractive in anything and I am uncomfortable in skirts and dresses because my legs chaff, and all this at 21.

So, two weeks ago I walked into my local Slimming World, I walked by the building 3 times before I got up the courage to go in but in the end I did and I am so glad. When I got on the scales and realised how much weight i had gained I was shocked but I promised myself I would lose it and my aim is to graduate the same size as when I started Uni.

So my start weight was 13 Stone 11.
I'm sticking to Extra Easy to start.
In my 1st week I lost 4 1/2 pounds and now weigh 13 Stone 6 1/2 Pounds.

My next weigh in is tomorrow and I've had a up and down week so I'm a little worried, but fingers crossed for a loss :)

Well it will be time to jump in the scales in a few hours and I really worried, I had a bad day Saturday and I made the mistake of letting a bad day become a bad week, i didn't do anything hugely off track just lots of little thinks. I didn't have enough Super Free at every meal and I skipped some meals all together and over all I just feel like I haven't given it 100% this week and I know it will be obvious on the scales :(
 
Well I've just got back from my weekly weigh-in and I lost 1.5 pounds :eek:
I'm really really happy with that as I had a crappy week this week :sigh: but onwards and upwards, I've bought some of the new Hi-Fi Bakewell bars and I'm hoping for a good week, I set my mini target at 1 pound for the week as I have a Uni social and a 21st birthday to attend :)
If I get my 1 pound I will get my 1st 1/2 stone award :D

I will update you through the week :)
 
So, Ive been really good so far today and only had super free all day, I didn't even mean to but thats good as I'm off out for a meal with my BF today and would like to be able to be a little flexible :)

Looking forward to reading your diary, i had not long had a baby at my graduation and i remember feeling so self conscious when i was up on stage collecting my certificate :( I spent weeks trying to find an outfit to disguise my size, i feel like it ruined the day looking back now.

That will not be you though, good luck on your journey you can do it :)

Ive been trying to lose weight for about a year and just tried fad diet after fad diet and ended up bigger than before but this is it now.
My graduation dress will be a size 10 if it kills me :)
The fact you had a baby and finished you final year is amazing :) However I don't have the excuse of baby weight :(
 
So Last night my Boyfriend took me to Frankie & Bennys and I am so proud of myself because there was a 35min wait for a table so we sat at the bar and I didn't have anything but Diet Cola, and I managed to sat within my 15 syns for the day even with 2 courses :D
And I had to take lunch out with me yesterday as I was at uni 10-4 ans still didn't cheat :p
This is what I ate yesterday :)

Breakfast - 1/2 Honey Dew Melon & Cherry Bakewell HiFi Bar (HXB)

Lunch - Crunchy Salad made of Carrots, Red Peppers and Cherry Tomatoes

Tea - Pint of Diet Cola & 2 Pints of Water
- 1 1/2 Dough Stick (6) and 4 Squid Rings (5)
- BBQ'ed King Prawn Salad with Cucumber and tomato & Sweet Chilli Dressing (3)

Total Syns = 14 :cool:
 
Had a really busy two days, working and starting my dissertation project :)
I've kept to plan but I'm really struggling getting my super free into my breakfast :sigh:

So this is what I ate over the last two days :)

Saturday
Brekkie - Apple with Mullerlight Cherry
Lunch - Chicken Low Low Cheese Slices (HXA) & Chorizo( 40g - 2 1/2 syns) in Wholemeal Pittas (1 HXA, 1 7 Syns) with fried potatoes (Frylight) and Salad.
Tea - Fruit Salad made of Kiwi & Apple, with a few carrot sticks on the side.


Sunday
Brekkie - Kiwi & Pear, 2 slices of Wholemeal Bread (HXB) with Cheese Dairylea Triangles on top (HXA)
Lunch - Jacket Potato, Grilled Chicken Breast, Salad made of Carrot, Lettece, Cucumber & Red Pepper. With Jack Daniels Sauce (3 Syns)
Tea - Melon & Grape Salad & Pint of Dr Pepper Zero.

So I've just got back form work and I did have plans to go bowling with a society from Uni but my shoulder is hurting like hell (Old injury) so bowling is a no-no!!
think I'm gonna curl up on the sofa and watch some TV.
I've stuck to plan these last two days but have struggled getting my exercise in, I'm a waitress part time so that does mean I'm on my feet lots but apart form that I'm getting very little exercise. Its because its so bloody cold :mad: In the summer I walk everywhere but once it gets cold then that's it, no more walking for me :/

Monday
Brekkie - 3 Slices of Wholemeal Toast (HXB & 3 Syns) with Spaghetti hoops and Oven baked mushrooms.
Lunch - Carrot batons, Super-food Salad - Kiwi, Grapes, Pomegranate &Blueberries
Tea - 3 Cheese Trianges (HXA) with Celery Sticks

Total Syns = 3

Tuesday (Today)
Brekkie - Cherry Bakewell Hi-Fi Bar (HXB) & Apple
Lunch - Grilled Chicken Breast, Jacket Potato, JD Sauce (3 Syns) & Salad of Lettece, Carrot, Cucumber & Red Pepper.
Not had my Tea yet :D
 
So I just had a Chicken Noodles Mug shot for tea, with some strawberries :)

Total syns = 3

So I've been really bad today and not eaten properly at all :(

I had:
Brekkie - 2 Grilled Apple and Pork Sausages (11syns) 2 Bacon- All Fat Removed, 2 poached Eggs, Beans, 2 Wholemeal Toast (HXA)
Lunch - Nothing
Tea - Strawberries.

Total Syns - 11 (but not eaten regularly or included my super free) :break_diet:
 
So its a hour before I have to go for my weigh in and I'm a little worried as always, I feel like I haven't put as much effort in this week as I should have, Ive skipped my super free on some meals, I've eaten irregularly and I've done very little exercise :sigh: I am going to try harder next week as I want to my family to notice a diference at Xmas and its getting closer and closer................
Anyways I will be back on to update my weight after weigh-in but here is what I've eaten so far today

Thursday

Brekkie -
3 x Wholemeal toast (2- HXA, 1- 3 syns), Hello Kitty Spaghetti shapes in Tomato sauce, 2x Kiwi, 8x Strawberries
Lunch - Sweet & Crunchy Salad with King Prawns, Seafood Sticks, Chicken & 37.5g Pre-Sliced Chorizo (6 Syns) with 200g Raspberries as a snack
Tea -
Ive not had it yet :)
 
Sooo..... I'm back from Weigh-In and I'm actually amazed by my loss, I was hoping for a maintain this week as I felt I had not really given my all this week.
I actually lost 3.5 Pound got my 1/2 Stone Award and Slimmer of the Week!!!!! :wow:And I feel like this --->:happy036:
So to celebrate I'm making myself a slightly naughty tea, Its not got many syns but it has NO super free :)
I'm having Chip Bake, Its layers of SW chips, cheese (HXA), BBQ Chicken and Chorizo and for 1 its 4 Syns.

This month my slimming world is doing a NOvember, so we are each saying No to one of our weeknesses for the Whole month :)
My NOvember is White Bread :)
 
Hi Everyone,

I've had a good few days :) Done loads of stuff and spet some time with my BF, which is nice as with work and Uni we dont get loads of time together, most of the time all I see of him is him in bed snoring :4635:

Anyway, Yesterday we went back up to Yorkshire where I'm from to got to my best friends house warming party, we also stopped off at my Nana and Grandad's and on the way up there we went to medowhall and had a look around and some food, we went to TGI Fidays and I was soo proud of my self cos I ate to plan :)
I only had 175ml of rose wine at the Party mixed with Diet Lemonade to make it last longer, bit I did have a little bit of pie which was naughty, but as Georgia had made it she could tell em what was in it so I could Syn it.

This is what I ate yesterday.
Friday
Brekkie - Cherry Bakewell Hi-Fi (HXB), Apple & Banana
Lunch - 14oz Sirloin Steak (Fat Cut off) Wedge Salad which is; Lettuce Tomato and Bacon and then some Veg (Broccolli, Carrots & Beans) Plus 2 TbSpoons of JD Sauce (3 Syns) & 3 glasses of Diet Cola
Tea - Jacket Potato, Mushy Peas & Home-made Steak Pie (5 Syns) Plus 175ml Rose Wine (6 Syns)

Total Syns = 14 Syns :cool:

Just amking my Brekkie for today but I have work later so I will update tomorrow :)

So, I had work this evening, been in about a hour and almost ordered a take-away but I resisted :)

Today i've had a ok day, I'm a little over my Syns but I did do 50 mins walking, to and from work :rolleyes:

Saturday
Brekkie - 2x Bacon, 1x Low Fat Apple and Pork Sausage (4 Syns), Baked Beans, 2 large baked Mushrooms, 2x Wholemeal Toast (6 Syns)
Lunch - King Prawn & 30g Chorizo (2 Syns) Salad - Lettuce, Carrot, Red Pepper, Cucumber & 3 Dairylea Triangles (HXA)
Tea - Bacon, 1x Low Fat Sausage (4 Syns),Wholemeal Pitta (HXB) and apple and pear fruit salad with Muller Light Rasp & Cranberry

Total Syns = 16 :break_diet:

Hi everyone,
Well yesterday was a day from hell. It started off ok with a really good brekkie and healthy snacks but then I went to work and on the way lost my purse, the lead to 2 hours of stress panic and finally I got in touch with the tram office and it had been handed in there.
I had to go all the way to the tram depot and finally got my purse back, at this stage I was stressed, hungry and late for work, I ended up eating from Gregg's :booboo:
I then had a shift from hell at work and everything went from bad to worse, I was 2 hours late, the restaurant was rammed and I was feeling crap after eating the Greggs.

I finally got home at 9.30pm and let my BF talk me into a Chinese to cheer me up at I had already blown the day :(

So This is what I ate

Sunday
Brekkie - Bowl of Fruit Salad
Lunch - Greggs Sausage Roll (18) and Greggs Cheese and Bacon Wrap (pulled all fat off bacon) (HXA & 10 Syns) with Grapes and Carrot Batons.
Tea - Duck and Pancakes (14 1/2) Prawn Toast (14) 1/2 Sweet and Sour Chicken (4) Chips (17 1/2)

Total = 78 Syns :banghead:
 
Keep going lvoely New subscriber here! dont worry about the off plan for the day, just try and keep your syns under 10 for rest of the week :)

I'm sticking to as few syns as possible until weigh-in :) None if possible, today I'm on 3 :)

Sorry you had a tough day, you have got back on plan though and that's something to be proud. Drink lots of water, do a bit extra exercise and you may be surprised to see you havn't done much damage if any!
