Here goes....time to get my groove back!

Well, here goes nothing! I thought it was time I started my own diary on here after spending weeks pouring through and getting inspiration from everyone else's. Fab reading by the way :p I guess I haven't started my own diary before now as I was afraid that this would be yet another failed SW attempt and I was scared to believe that I might actually do it this time, but you know what.....I actually think I'm really going to do it this time!! :D:D:D

Today was my 11th weigh in at my slimming world and I'm ecstatic to say I got my 2 stone award!!! I'm so chuffed with myself as I have been trying and failing to get this weight off since my 1st child was 12 weeks old. He's 4 now!!! So I finally believe that I can do this and I'm going to do this. Hopefully with the help of some of you lovely people :wavey:

i have such a long way to go......another 6 and a half stone so I need all the help and encouragement I can get along the way! :help2:

I will slowly but surely get my groove back! :wee:

Thought i'd do a wee update on how today has gone and the food i've eaten today. Weigh day is always a bit strange for me as I don't eat much until I get weighed and then i'm normally like a woman possessed eating everything in sight (all SW friendly of course ;)), but I havent ate as much today as I normally would've. Anyway, today went a little something like this.....

Breakfast: Fresh pineapple, activia snackpot yogurt

Lunch: Brocolli and cheese pasta n sauce, with parmesan cheese over it (HEA)

Dinner: Chilli noodles, with 2 chilli, ginger and lime quorn fillets, mushrooms and peppers with soy sauce (totally delish) :eat:

Snacks: 6 ryvita crackerbread (HEB) topped with 60g black pepper low low cheese spread (HEA). I've actually just discovered this cheese spread and OMG, it's yum. Can't wait to try it hot through some pasta!!. I've also had two hifi rocky road bars for my other HEB choice, and guess what.....i've still to have my post weigh in treat!!!! :woohoo:I don't normally go mad, just a choc bar or a nice packet of crisps. Just waiting on hubby bringing me something back from the shops!!

Here's to another good day tomorrow. I totally love SW!!! :bliss:

subscribing. great to see you so positive :)

Yay....thanks for subscribing to my diary :wavey: and for the comment about me being positive. It really helps to know i'll have support along the way. Off to bed now. Will be back tomorrow for an update. Nighty night :snoopyhouse:

Congrats on your weightloss so far TootyFrooty your doing fab, and 11 WI's for 2 st is amazing. You will be at goal before you know it, keep up the hard work

Thank you lovelies. I think my losses Havre been big at times because I've got so much to lose. I'm prepared for them to slow down but that's fine with me :)

Thank you for checking in on my diary. Just up (got given a long lie the morning) yes, 7.30am is a long lie in this house!!!!

Will be back later when I've had some food and a cuppa :)

xx

So, now i'm suitably refreshed I'll do a wee update here before I get caught up with the daily grind of being a busy working mum!

Since i've now got a few peeps reading my diary (thankyou and :welcome:) I thought I should tell you all a bit about myself. I'm 37 years old (eek!!!) and a mother of two young boys, ages 2 and 4. They keep me extremely busy and are both little horrors and bundles of fun at the same time :D I also work part time as a staff nurse in a busy gynaecology ward and am married to my lovely (sometimes!!) hubby. We've been together for 11 years now and our relationship has had it's ups and downs along the way but I wouldn't have him any other way. Well, I'd maybe make him a bit more buff, with an amazing six pack and fat wage packet at the end of the day but beggars can't be choosers eh!! :8855:

So now you know almost all about me, back to the matter at hand, and what i'm here for, my weight loss diary! My little one woke me up today at 5.15am this morning.....this is his norm so it wasn't too much of a shock for me, but my hubby had said that he'd get up with him to let me have a long lie!! Two hours later, at 7.20am, i was rudely awakened by said little one jumping over all over me!! Nothing like a peaceful and tranquil start to the day is there? :sigh:

The start of the morning has been full of the usual tom foolery from the boys so I was glad to pack the eldest one off to nursery at 9am so I could come back and do a bit of my diary before taking my little one to his playgroup. Then this afternoon my eldest has a hospital appointment to check out how his asthma is doing. He was diagnosed around 6 months ago and since he's started on inhalers it's been a lot better :stickdance:

Food for today should be all on plan, although i've yet to decide what to have. I'm sure i'll come up with something marvellous and delicious though, I always do!! :8855:

Catch you later xx

Aww, I hope the appointment goes well. Your youngest sounds similar to my monkey. I am on all four getting his toys from under the sofa and he chooses this is the perfect opportunity to mount me. I did oblige in being horsey because that totally counts as body magic right? ;)

You do sound busy. I'd not cope with such an early wake up call! Look forward to getting some new meal ideas from you then!

OMG!!! I just typed a massive post then went to put it on and it came up that I wasn't logged on!!! I'm fuming. Going to cool off then type it all out again!!! GGGRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

That's exactly what my little one does. He jumps onto my back as soon as I bend down to get something!! Little monkeys eh!!

Well, I had quite a good day today. The hospital appointment today went well. We can reduce his inhalers a little bit and see if that affects him at all and if it doesn't then we'll hopefully be able to stop using them in the spring time, at least for a few months anyway!! After the hospital we went to the park for a bit but it was absolutely freezing so we didn't stay long.

When we got home I'd already made meatballs for the boys of the house, and I had to go shopping to get something for myself but I had some soup to tide me over till I got back. Here's how my meals looked today:

Breakfast: Fat free greek yogurt, mixed with a strawberry mullerlight and some sweetner, followed by a pear

Snack: 3 ryvita crackerbreads (1/2 HEB), 3 laughing cow light triangles (HEA) with some cherry tomatoes, then a hifi light bar (1/2 HEB)

Lunch: 3 Linda McCartney rosemary and red onion sausages, beans, mushrooms, 2 fried eggs with 1 tbsp brown sauce (1syn)

Snack: Homemade soup, freddo bar (5syns)

Dinner: Quorn chilli, red rice, topped with 40g cathedral light cheese (HEA)

Snack: 3 ryvita crackerbread (1/2 HEB), Choc philly (4.5syns) sliced banana

I think that's all i'll be able to manage for the day. Boy do I eat a lot of food eh!!!!

I'm not vegetarian no, I just prefer green days for the extra healthy extras and I'm not a big meat eater. I like using my b choices for cereal bars or crispbreads.

Who are the 20 something team girls btw?

there is a thread in the teams sub-forum for 20-somethings. It's a fab thread, the girls are lovely but I often feel like an utter whale. haha. I have a green day planned for Saturday. I like having a b for hifi bars. nom nom nom.

Ah, I see. I'm sure you don't seem like a whale at all. Erm, have you read what I had to eat yesterday!! Hehe.

Ooh, which hifi bars are your favourite? I love the rocky road ones, and I like the lemon ones, the berry bakewell and the peanut ones!! So, that'll be most of them then :)

So today started with yet another ridiculously early start, with little bear one getting up at 4.50am!!! Yes, that's right, 4.50am!!!!  I brought him into my bed and he wriggled for about an hour before I gave in and got him up. We read some books for a bit (well, I kinda just made up the words as my eyes were half shut when reading them) and now he's sat on the ipad while i've got the laptop on!!! He's 2 years old ffs, and he knows how to work my ipad better than I do!!!!

Anyway, it gives me a chance to ramble on here for a bit about the day ahead. I have started the day off with a banana and a mug of green tea. I can't drink the pure green tea as it's yuk but the twinnings one with lotus flower and orange is lovely so that's what i'm having this morning. In an hour or so i'll have my yogurt and summer berries that I stocked up with in asda yesterday. I actually blame my little one for the fact that I eat so much through the day. I reckon if you totted up all the extra hours i'm up with him in the morning then over the course of a week it must add up to a whole extra day so that's why i'm always hungry! Well, that's my theory anyway. :D

The morning will see me dropping my eldest at nursery then me and little bear will head off to aldi's to stock up on fresh fruit and veg and any other bits n bobs that catch my eye.

I must say I'm finding writing my diary very helpful, even if it's just me talking nonsence most of the time, it's helping keep me focused and making me think about what I'm going to eat for the rest of the day. So, I think today I'll make my usual pot of soup as the last batch is finished now...will probably go for lentil again as I really enjoyed the last lot. I'm also going to make the mushy pea curry so that's the food planned for today. Obviously i'll no doubt have a few other things thrown in there. I'll update my food intake later tonight.

I'm working tomorrow and its 12 hour shifts I do so I'll be cooking up some stuff to take into work with me later today. You should see the size of my lunch bag that I have to lug into work. It's mahoooooooooooosive!!! :rotflmao:

Oh grim. My boy woke up just before I went to bed and screamed until 2:30am he ended up in with me because he wasn't going to shut up. Bloody brat.

I bet work is a nice break from home. Haha. If you stat needing a suitcase for a lunchbox you can start to worry :p

Ouch...the middle of the night screamfest is something that I too am very familiar with. It's hellish. My little bear is 2 and big bear is 4. The youngest was born in August so he's actually 27 months, going on 27 years with the way he acts sometimes!!!

No suitcase quite yet to transport my lunch but it's not far off it at times :) :)

As you can see by my super duper fancy signature, I've spent some time working on it this morning. Wow, it's when you see it all written down like that that I can see how far i've come in just 11 weeks. I have given myself a big pat on the back this morning. I have definitely noticed a difference in my shape and I feel so much better moving around and doing stuff. I can only imagine how much better i'll feel when I lose another stone, then another and another and....well, you get the picture :D Bring it on I say!!!! :giggle:

I was looking at your Sig and was super jealous. It took me 4 weeks to lose what you lost in week one! It is amazing. I'm like you, I get a bit carried away with the next stone and the next and the next. My losses slowed right down, thankfully after a big gain in the last week of October I managed to swap things round and had a great November. Still trying not to get beyond myself. In 7 weigh ins it'll be my one year slimming world anniversary and that's something special to me. For a habit to still be formed after a year it means it should be a life-long habit.

You should take a picture of yourself today so you can keep it and keep comparing yourself as you lose weight. When I took a picture of myself the other week and compared it to my before photo I was stunned. At the beginning of starting slimming world I set myself the target of wearing a size 14 on Xmas day, as opposed to a 22. I never told anyone this before. Well earlier this week I picked my Xmas day outfit and it is a 14. I thought it was just a pipe dream but it can be done. And when my son looks through family photos and he sees the 3 different me's from 2011, 2012 and 2013 I hope he will ask who the 2011 lady is. If you think about that this Christmas for your boys it'll make turning down the mince pies so much easier (i hope!)
