    The Size 12 Challenge!

    Hi all, I'm new here so this is my first post. I have been to SW twice before, and both times I lost a lot, but again both times I stopped for personal reasons.
    I don't think I can remember a time when I wasn't on the larger side. Ever since I was twelve, I've stayed around the 12/13 stone range. I know I'm not the biggest in the world, but as I'm young, I'm just starting my life, and I want it to be as forfilling as possible. Also my dream job is to be part of the fire brigade, so I'd need a certain level of fitness for that. I think for a lot of the time I've been in denial about how big I am, for example if it looked like I had a double chin in a photo I'd soon come up with an excuse.
    Most of my close friends are thin, so ever since my early teens it's been slightly uncomfortable walking around the teen section of a shop when by the age of 13 I was a size 16.
    In the next few weeks I shall be starting SW again, something I am very much looking forward to.
    I weigh myself once a month out of curiosity, and to my amazement I have actually LOST since the start of December, which confuses me as, like most, I'm partial to the odd mince pie(or six) around Christmas time.
    My fantasy is to be a size 8, but as I know that is completely unrealistic, I'm setting a target of a size 12

    I will update this as a diary from the first week I start, and I'd love to hear from some other people in the same boat as me.

    Im with you on this one hun, great idea.
    Im the same, lost loads with SW then put it all back on , I rejoined last week and Im so excited to be actually losing the weight again. Im a size 16 and am not going to stop till I get to size 12
    ...and then Im going to keep going to class so I NEVER put it back on!!!

    Good luck. I know what that feels like. I was the same but then was unemployed for 8 months a few years ago and gained a load of weight and I haven't managed to get rid of any of that either.

    However, before a mod shouts this should really be in the diaries sub section at the top of the page. Makes it easier to find and keeps the forum tidier

    I'm with you! We have very similar similar starting weights and targets! I also want to get to target by the summer (though the way I lose weight this might be a little ambitious)!

    I'm with you girls! Pushing a size 16 and aiming for comfy 12! Was last this size at 10.7-11 stone so about 3stone to go....have also decided not to go clothes shopping until I'm nearing that weight!
