New to MiniMins - not new to SW!

Hello MiniMins :)

I'm new here, but very used to relying on SW to help me lose a few pounds now and then. I rarely stick at it, but I know it does work for me - better than starving myself on a low calorie diet, that makes me moody!

I got married 18 months ago, and I put on every pound I lost for that, plus about the same again as I switched pills. I'm now blessed with no TOTM, but I carry an extra half a stone for the privilege!

So... I could do with losing a stone, but my target in kilos is to lose 7 kilos.

Currently weighing in at the top end of the 64s, rather than the 67 I was before my recent walking-heavy holiday.

Fingers crossed...

Really pleased today that even with weight-wobbling, I'm 2kg lighter already. Going to be good today, yesterday was a naughtier day than I had hoped. Red day for me today.

Yummy bacon and cheese toasty just now with a kind of tomato sauce salsa-y thing I made from tinned tomatoes, garlic, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, tomato purée, stock cube, splenda and some herbs. Yum yum. Adapted for the husband with bagels instead of WW bread, best not force him to do SW!

Hiya lovely! Welcome to MiniMins :) Best of luck with your weight loss hun - I do think that writing everything down does help to keep us on track. I know that I'm terrible for not posting if I have a bad week, so that's something I need to sort out :) xx

Thanks for visiting my thread! I think writing things down helps with remembering what was nice, what was worth all the effort to make and what sucked and should never be made again! Keep up the good eating you're doing :) x

I've eaten so much today, but I'm lying in bed trying to go to sleep and I'm hungry. Hmmm.

I noticed Kellogg's nutrigrain biscuits today - are just two of them worth using up a hexb or are they best avoided?

Green day tomorrow, crust-less quiche already cooked and in the fridge :)

So this week has been bad - my last week at my old job so a leaving do full of cookies, gin and curry (yummy!) and that was after the pizza hut buffet. Then the next day as my husband's birthday, now we're away for a week. We're self-catering though so I've brought a load of my stuff with me. Just made paella, but that doesn't help the chocolate cake earlier. If I get home and I've maintained, that will please me!

I know, I just feel guilty! Too much going on all at the same time at the moment though. I start a new job on Monday, so I'll turn over a new leaf :)

Back from a week's holiday, self-catering. An attempt at slimming world most of the week, with calorie counting on bad days to keep them not too bad, and I've lost half a pound. Very pleased.

Loving the My Fitness Pal app - now I can monitor my calories alongside doing SW. I know it's not the point, but it all helps. I'm a dataholic!

Well done you hun, that's fab! Especially as you were on holiday! :D xx

I think I ate your paella recipe three times - it's blooming gorgeous! If I'm feeling lazy, using a savoury rice instead of the paella rice makes it less effort - need to remember not to put too many stock cubes in though as it's rather salty then!

I'm thinking of making cottage pie later, I bought some Aunt Bessie's frozen carrot and swede mash, syn free according to this forum, so let's see how that goes :) I do red and green days with a few extra easy here and there (which allows me the yummy paella!), so it's cottage pie without the potatoes tonight.

Cottage pie was yummy. Well worth the effort.

Just been reading a few threads, particularly the one about doing SW from home.. Must admit to being quite concerned at the nonsense some consultants tell their group members, it's a shame they don't all have a similar level of knowledge, I'm very grateful that my husband had a good consultant in Newcastle about 8 years ago, her knowledge has done us well since then. We used to do alternate red and green days when we did it together. Now it's just me (he's calorie counting a bit) I mainly alternate red and green days with an occasional extra easy day. EE feels too easy for me, not enough like a diet, and I nearly always overeat on EE.

Salmon fillets (cheap cheap in Costco, chopped up and bunged in the freezer), vegetables, soy sauce and half a sachet of old el paso fajita spice mix. Very tasty. Mopped the sauce up with some hexb bread.

Chupa chup lolly after lunch was gorgeous too, while I 'stepped' around the outside of our massive building at work. My FitBit says I tried hard :)
