Laurenypop's Journal - 14 1/2 stone to 9 1/2!
So I'll start from the top, and good for me the top is New Year, I don't know what it was, but something snapped in me and its the first time I've ever been so committed to losing weight!
I saw pictures of myself from just before Christmas Day on Facebook and immediately untagged myself, ashamed at how awful I looked, down to my fat face and the awful clothes I was wearing that didn't flatter me at all! How embarrassing :(
I got married nearly 2 years ago, and it wasnt until I weighed myself on the 4th January 2013 that I realised I weighed 14 stone 7lbs. I couldn't and wouldn't believe it, so I immediately knew something crazy was happening to me. How could I weigh this much and not see it happening?? I remember when I saw 11 1/2 stone on the scales...it crushed me to see that number.
So I followed the Slimming World 7day free plan online at first, then my friend who does SW too invited me to the meeting that next Tuesday. I weighed in at 14 stone 4 lbs... So I had technically lost 3lbs that week! Not that I realised that for a few more weeks, I felt sick at seeing 14st4lb...horrific...and I thought immediately on the way home that I was never going to lose anything, I never had before and so I would give it a week, and if I'm the same or gain next Tuesday, ill just not bother.
Oh boy I was wrong!
I next weighed in at 14 stone 1 1/2lbs...incredible!! And ever since then it's been great! Losing weight is a bonus to living a healthy lifestyle. I don't miss greasy junk at all and cannot believe I literally ate it every day of the week.
I want to keep journaling my journey...I don't know how far ill get but with a 1 stone 3lb loss in group already...maybe... Just maybe ill get to my target weight of 10 1/2 stone.
My last target would be 9 1/2....but I want to see how happy I am at 10 1/2 first and then decide if lower is good for me.
I'm the happiest I have been in a long time. I still have a lot of lumps and bumps to banish, I've had compliments at work but seriously don't see where the weight has dropped off from...I haven't gone down a dress size yet but hope that 2 1/2 stone loss will see my many abandoned jeans fit again!
Here goes a healthier new way of life! And hopefully the end to my PCOS I only recently developed...it coincides with when I started piling on that extra 3 stone so fingers crossed the borderline PCOS will be a distant memory!
Enjoy the journey everyone! We will all get there with determination, don't let anything stop u believing in yourself
