I decided to start an on line diary after I read so many inspirational stories on here, which to be completely honest, I have found more engaging and inspiring than the success stories in the magazines. The magazine stories always seem to feature people who get straight to target with minimal blimps or inconvenience, which when you are having blips, struggling and not doing as well as you want, in my opinion, can be a bit annoying!

I have re-started SW 3.5 weeks ago after getting to 11st 3lbs in July 2011. Nearly exactly 2 years later I rejoined 2 st heavier, having gained back all the weight I lost plus and extra stone and a bit to take me to 13st 3lbs. The heaviest I have ever been and all my clothes were(are) too tight and I feel I look fat in everything. I had to have uniform in the next size up at work and when that became so tight it barely fitted, along with buying a size 14 in new look that was too small I decided enough was enough!

On reflecting on my relationship with food I have always had an unhealthy relationship with it. I was miserable at school and didn't eat at all and when I did tried to make myself sick. At college and uni I walked a lot and ate what I wanted and by the time I finished my post grad in 2002 I was 9st 13lbs the lightest I have ever been. I gradually put weight on until 2006 when I lost at stone and a half and essentially kept most of it off, a comfortable 12, until I changed jobs. I left a very stressful and miserable existence for a much calmer, albeit less well paid job in retail. And until I was promoted did ok with my weight but prolonged illness, which was undiagnosed until recently, and being on my feet less had really taken it's toll and I need to do something about it.

So here I am, 33 and determined to do it right this time! I am 34 in September and would like to be around 11 st 7 lbs which is a stone and 4lbs in 2 months. In my 3 weighs ins to date I have lost 6lbs and while I know my target is tough I have switched from ee to red as it suits my body better so should have some decent losses!

So my food for today

B: pineapple and alpen lights HEB1
L: chicken, scan bran cherry bakewell HEB2(2.5) meringue (1)
S: kiwi grapes
D: beef sheesh kebab and salad
Syns 3 ready mixed g&t 7.5

Total syns 11 so maybe one last g&t

My new trick is to buy ready mixed for £1 in Asda so can only drink what I buy! Safer than a whole bottle! Done better than I thought today overall :)
 
So far today done 4 hours at work (boo not my Sunday to work and had to cook breakfast for staff, which I haven't done for yonks, bound to have done something wrong!)


So had raspberries and muller light for breakfast yum yum, then a skinny cappuccino for the walk home HEA and bought a bottle of water to drink and refill as def not drinking enough. Also bought one can of ready mixed g&t for later. Next is my scan bran cake with strawberries and quark mixed with white choc options so HEB and 4.5 syns.

Got the cricket on as I love it so going to relax for a while now :)
 
Now had grapes and kiwi and on third lot of water. Got the Asian twist on herby chicken in oven but done with salmon instead is delicious. Also got a mackerel kebab cooking from Asda which I will have cold it is amazing and only a pound. They also had river cobbler fillets for a pound so got 3 of those. Am a big fish person. Also Waitrose do raw prawn kebabs for 99p which I think is brilliant value had those of Friday with salad. Going thru salad like no bodies business!! Only want that not veg.
 
So just having my g&t syns today scan bran cake 2.5 quark 1 g&t 9 mini meringue 1 meringue nest 2.5 total 16 happy with that. At work at 6 so made breakfast and lunch. Fruit salad grapefruit kiwi salmon with Thai herb topping and salad also have tomatoes on toast and hopefully a poached egg. OH has hospital in afternoon so not exactly sure what will happen after that
 
Am an awful serial weighed and this morning am 12st5.75lb which is 3.25lbs down on last weds. Would be so chuffed if it stayed until class on weds!!
 
Good Luck for Wednesday, I am starting today too and am also a serial weigher. Can't quite get my head around the EE as when I did the diet previously it was red and green days.
 
Hi Debbie, I do red days mainly as suits my body best it doesn't like EE that much tend to sts if I do those days. Might try it when I get to target to maintain! I like the healthy extras on red as do like ryvita!!! Good luck and keep us posted :)
 
So my food today


B: tomatoes and poached egg on toast HEXB with hp sauce eaten as fast as possible as work was crazy and had 45 mins to pack in an hour and a half's work!!
L: Asian herby topped salmon, salad, raspberries, strawberries, melon kiwi
S: skinny cappuccino walking home starting t to be a bad habit to use my HEXA damn work for selling coffee I really like!!!
D: not sure possible sheesh kebabs possible lamb kebabs possibly salad with tuna. Definitely ryvita as other HEXB.

Syns a mini twister and meringue and quark I expect as no g&t as it is a week day!!

Water nearly 3l as been really focused on that today as don't drink enough as work!!
 
Actually had more ryvita as syns with tinned sardine and beetroot for tea as had mini ryvita while deciding what to have. So then meringues and quark 6 syns plus ryvita 6 is 12 :)
 
Definitely hoping no yo sushi today now as 12st 6.25lbs this morning boo!! Drank 3l of water yesterday so doubt it's water retention.
 
Oops would be the way I would describe today. Ended up having lunch at 3 way too late and had a sandwich oops and a cookie bigger oops!! Then did go to yo sushi and had salt and pepper squid, prawn roll things and duck dumplings and wine and more wine. Not best day before wi :-o and not enough water. Had much fun with my manager tho who is so lovely!

Thanks hon :) was a good day lots of fun class is 6 so will report back! Hopefully my super good behaviour so far will mean at least a lb which will take me to my half st in 4 weeks which is good going :) xx
 
Good luck on the scales tomorrow :) I'm on green days so its interesting to read what people do on red days!
 
Finished work until 1:00pm on Friday now whoo hoo! Wi later I have lost my sneaky peak showed me that prob 2.5lbs which I can live with I guess! Will see tho.


After my blow out yesterday sticking with it today!

B melon grapefruit kiwi raspberries muller light vanilla
L salad and chicken and a big meringue from the patisserie counter at work. Was lovely and took ages to eat. Also stocked up on quark for my scan bran bakeathon tomorrow. Just hope class has lots of scan bran!!

Was up too late last night to be up at 5:45 this morning so falling asleep as I type! Think I might need a nap to properly enjoy who do you think you are later!
 
Lost 3lbs *does dance around class* am really pleased with that. Sw chips for tea to celebrate yum!

Lost 9lbs in 4 weeks and only 1 lb away from my first interim target!!
