The long road ahead...... Weight loss diary!!

Hi guys,

Started at slimming world nearly 4 weeks ago. Had previously tried about three years ago and lost nearly a stone and a half (when I was slimmer too) but didn't keep it up and soon put all of the weight back on plus a considerable amount more. Have given weight watchers a try in that time but have found that was definitely not for me.

When I joined slimming world a month ago I was the heaviest id ever been at 15 stone. I'm only 22, and although I don't necessarily look 15 stone as such, I do look pretty damn heavy. I'd started to shy away from getting my photo taken out of embarrassment (very unlike me) and was feeling more and more down in the dumps about my weight, something my boyfriend in particular had picked up on.

Deciding I had to do something, I bit the bullet and joined up to class in a local community centre. The group I attend is tiny, only about 8 of us stay for class but they are lovely. At the moment we don't have a permanent consultant so we are getting different people in until a new consultant completes her training and starts early September.

In my first week I lost 6 and a half pounds which I was exceptionally pleased about, so close to my half a stone. Second week I lost 2 pounds bringing my total loss to 8 and a half pounds and getting my half a stone award. Love the feeling you get when this is presented to you in class. Last week however (weighed on Monday 29th July) was a very naughty week. Had lots of events which had been arranged for months and champagne flowed so put on an unfortunate 3 and a half pounds. Was a bit gutting but I don't regret it for one minute. If I had waited to join after that week I would never have lost the five pounds I'd still lost. Plus this was the first time I'd joined a slimming club and attended my weigh in when I knew I had a big gain. It shows a change in my attitude and Iv really got stuck back into plan this week.

Anyway I'm feeling really good about it this time. My mam is also doing slimming world and attends the same class (we live together) so cooking is a lot easier and I have someone to bounce off.

I get weighed on a Monday so only a few days to go and Iv got a drinking BBQ tomorrow. Think I'm going to steer clear of the food there, take my own salad and drink vodka with diet fanta to keep syns down. Pacing myself is definitely something I'm going to have to get used to ;)

Looking forward to sharing my story with you all :) x

Also forgot to mention I aways follow extra easy. It's the best plan to fit into my daily life

Good luck Amber! I am similar to you tried it on my own but going to group has really upped my motivation! Looking forward to reading your diary :)

Wow well done that's fab!! And thanks, I look forward to hearing how you get on with the rest of your journey!

It's the almighty weigh in for me tonight. Crossing my fingers that Iv managed to get rid of the pounds that I put on last week.
Didn't do too bad on Saturday at the BBQ, just had a tomato pasta and some nacho style crisps, and stuck to vodka and diet mixer for the remainder of the night.

Had an alright day yesterday. Had a slimming world breakfast for a late breakfast. Then mid afternoon had a Sunday dinner, with cooked chicken (no skin), mashed potato (syns for butter) with carrots and turnip, with a small amount if gravy on top (again syns).

Will have a late breakfast today and then nothing until my weigh in at 5.

Wish me luck :)

Thanks amber.!
Good luck with weigh in today. I get weighed in on Wednesday morning. And I'm sure that the only day I am so hungry in the mornings. But I don't eat until weigh in.
Ive done my best this week to vary my healthy extras as my leader says this boosts your weight loss.
I just want to move safer into the 12's rather than just tipping on the edge lol.
Nip on to my page later and let me know how you got on. !!

Good luck - Im 25 and live with my mum too. I started at 16st 2.5, Im now done to 14st 0.5 with an aim of getting to 12.7 then maybe 12!
Ive got a page too - I think it really does help writing bits and bobs down x

Hi ladies!!

I am one extremely happy lady!!
Lost a rather cool 5 pounds!!!
Making my total loss of 10 pounds in 4 weeks which I'm over the moon with giving I put 3 and a half on last week. Even more over the moon that I still managed this after having my vodka night on Saturday.

Had a bit of a treat night tonight with some burgers and a bottle of bulmers or two but I also got a new job in sainsburys where I work today so celebrations all round!!

Hope everyone is feeling on a high like I am :)

Thank you chick :)

Very happy indeed.
Even better I don't really have any events coming up this week to hinder so hopefully a couple pounds off more next week :)

A clear run doesn't happen very often for me so want to make the most of it!
Got my holidays on the 1st September so less than 4 weeks to shift what I can off

I'm going on holiday to on 12th September. Where you off to?
I wanted to be 12.7 by time we in. Which is about 6 weeks !

Sorry for late reply! He a busy few days!
I'm off to ibiza for a week with the fella, all inclusive which is going to be VERY tricky haha. Where you off to?

Not had too bad a couple of days.

Breakfast - two slices of whole meal (HEX B) with spread (1.5) two bacon medallions, an egg in fry light, with a small tin of beans
Lunch - wasn't too peckish so had some cheese and onion smash with a tin of sainsburys spaghetti
Tea - cold pasta with a tin of tuna and some mayo mixed in (4) and a muller light toffee yoghurt

And various diet drinks during the day. Totally loving diet irn bru at the minute, tastes better than the full sugar in my opinion

Haven't had a HEX A today - is this bad missing it as a one off? Just had no craving for any milk or cheese today

Evening lovely I found you :) haha theres no escape.

Well done on your loss this week. It wont do any harm missing your A choice for today, but they do recommend having them every day in some form or other as you need your calcium intake etc, the same with B choices too. You could have a milky coffee, or make a rice pudding ( not tonight obviously lol just for future reference) then you have something sweet to snack on if peckish.

Have a good week chick x

Thanks Sheila :) I'm still getting used to remembering to post on here.

Yeah I will do in future, just totally forgot tbh, as I'm that used to having it for breakfast in the form of milk and then when I do a cooked breakfast I totally forget.

And don't be disheartened by your weight loss this week either, its still a loss at the end of the day. Though it definitely doesn't make me want to give SE a go lol.

Have a good week too :) xx

Haha it works for some people just not me. Im hoping its given my body a shove for next week.

If I dont have cereal for brekkie I use my A choice on philli lightest the little 35g tubs, I usually have them on my B choice ( 6 wholegrain crackerbreads) and top them with grapes or banana yum yum x

Ooo I love philli so might give that a try!

And yeah I think it will, delayed reaction for you fingers crossed!!

Make sure its the light or lightest you can have 3 little tubs (75g) for your A choice. Or you could use 2 and use the other in a sauce with pasta or something :)
