I'm a bit of an old timer on here. Lost loads, gained it back yada yada...

Same old story, done every diet going- they work but I don't keep it up and make excuses. Well no more excuses! I had a diary before but its filled with misery and gloom so its time for a new diary and a new start. I start a new job on Monday so new starts all round!

Been doing SW online for 3 weeks. Week 1 -5lb Week 2 -5.5lb Week 3 -0.5 measly lb! That's the way it goes sometimes though so going to keep on keeping on. And 11lb in 3 weeks is pretty darn good.

I'll try to get on here as much as I can to talk food and other general randomness (my speciality!) but it might not be every day as I really don't know what this new job has in store for me.

I have a holiday booked for 29 weeks today. Last proper holiday I weighed 13st 4 so I'd like to be back somewhere nearer that before I go. I'd also like to get upduffed at some point fairly soon but I don't want to be a double fat and old health risk, and I can't change the age number, so I'm changing the weight numbers!

Feel free to kick me if I go all emo and please tell my to get of my backside and walk the dog even after a long, hard day at work- we both need it.

So today-
Breakfast- 2x Alpen Light & a pear
Lunch- chicken slices, an egg & salad (lettuce, watercress, cucumber, beetroot)
Dinner- need to go shopping but the plan is gammon with SW roasties and veg
Snacks- yogurt, fruit
Syns- salad cream 2, glass of wine 6 Total=8
Exercise- walk the dog at least 2 miles

Hmmm so yesterday didn't quite go to plan, but that's life I guess! Went to the supermarket at 4 and didn't get home until 9pm after a little drama. Hit 15 syns exactly by eating junk food so not the end of the world. Scales have budged slightly this morning which they hadn't for a few days so all is good. Lesson learnt is to keep fruit/SW snacks in my car or in the car for emergencies!

Getting a little anxious about starting the new job on Monday, mainly about how it'll fit with SW. For the last couple of years my lunch was provided by work and I had little choice what I ate (I could of course have taken it myself but it seemed like a waste of money). I don't even know if there's a microwave, fridge or kettle in the new place but there will be food available, just don't know what. Will just take alpen lights, fruit and a mugshot for day 1 I think, and if there isn't a kettle I'll go out and blooming get one!

Plan for today-

Breakfast- already had a random breakfast of chicken breast slices, dairylea light (HEA) and a pear.
Lunch- beans, egg, toast (3 syns)
Dinner- gammon as planned for yesterday
Snacks- 2x alpen light (HEB), yogurt, something else synish
Exercise- double dog walking!

So new job tomorrow... clothes ironed, bag (and lunch!) packed. Eeeeeek!!! Excited and apprehensive at the same time.

Stage 2 of new starts about to launch!!

New job day 1 and I'm shattered!!! My head is bursting newness so early night for me ready for an extra long day tomorrow.

Food not the best, need better planning.

Green day

Breakfast- Shreddies with milk HEA and HEB
Lunch- Alpen light bar (HEB), banana, pear
Dinner- Batchelors beef rice, onion, mushrooms, broccoli and a bag of steam veg
Syns- 2x mini twister lollies, milk in coffee (6)

So, first week done in my new job and wow- what a week!

I won't go into details about the job but for now I love it even though it has been very hard work.

Dietwise it hasn't been easy. When I arrived on Monday there wasn't even a kettle! Monday night I bought a kettle but there still isn't a fridge or microwave. They have been ordered so in time it should get easier. At times food has been provided but it has always consisted of bread and cakes. Again this should improve in time so although it hasn't been the best week for food choices I can see where it will improve. I have remained aware, even when I haven't made the best choices which I think is a real positive. Only 0.5lb off but that's 11.5 in 4 weeks- better off than on!

I've been doing green days, mainly for convenience and I think the lack of superfree makes a big difference for me so I'm going to make a conscious effort to up the veggies in particular for a bit.

Not sure if anyone is actually reading but if you are hi!!

Yes, I'm reading. Good luck with the new job, it's a great time to set in place some good habits. If you can have your own microwave there, then you can take all kinds of SW goodies to work with you. Best of luck.
